  1. What do you guys think of these, are these are these a bargain or should i stump up the extra 60 quid for a set of eibach springs http://www.motechdirect.co.uk/motechdirect...SP&inc=apex cheers for your thoughts
  2. cheers guys, when i meant lag i did mean the slow acceleration of the is200. all is200's have the same 153bhp, the s, se and sport just refer to the trim and decals. ive got my 200se insured for 400 quid not bad for a 25yo bloke. i guess i will have to just do the usual exhaust, filter's and brakes for now then. B)
  3. anyone know if prolex's grooved are 180 each or for a pair it doesnt say, i think 180 each is a tad steep, its ok i have now found out, its for a pair
  4. how easy are they to put on? ive always fancied a strut bar plus has it helped in any way??
  5. must admit that my rear disc are very rusty around the outside and inner, just a nice shiny circle where the pads see the disc from time to time, is that cause for concern?? i havent changed my pads or discs for over a year so i think its time for a new set up front
  6. cheers guys, looks like i may have to trade the lex in then. may have to get an altezza, will be cheaper than gettin a conversion thanks for your help tho.
  7. My current motor is a standard is200se, strathcaran blue whoopy doo exactly. what im asking is easy ways to squeeze a few horses out of my 153bhp standard lump. I just dont think the engine is doing the looks an justice.. any help would be appreciated on how i cant possibly tune or modify my car subtley, nothing lairy or too expensive ie over 200 quid per mod cheers guys
  8. kk thanks mate, much appreciated
  9. does anyone know or any subtle sideskirts tried and tested that you can recommend. I dont want anything liary just something to compliment the curves
  10. the mkII mr2 lump was called a 3s-ge or 3s-gte dependant on turbo like. I traded an mr2 in for an is200 a year ago, miss the 3s-ge lump ahh well
  11. isnt the 3s-ge an mr2 engine?? the standard is200 lump has only a few horses less, surely the straight 6 has better potential
  12. bugger, ahh well i suppose ethats saved me around 200 quid cheers
  13. I must admit that the new is is better due to better technology being readily available however the old is200 looked better with its smooth curves and is now no longer an old mans car whereas the new is250 or whatever has now got the "old man image", i hate change!!
  14. Has anyone had there ecu remapped or "chipped" at all, i was just wondering whether it would help the lag on my 200 se when accelerating if you have what you got and what results you had please cheers guys

  22. i de badged a car years ago painlessly, just a hair drier and some talons, residue is a pin but u shud have no problems
  23. has anyone had to change one yet, i have 2 spares but want this one back working again... can it be done by me or does it have to be done by mr lexus cheers guys
  24. 25 at the mo, bought the car at 24 is200se i have the idea that older drivers dont push the car to its limits where it sounds and feels exciting so i had to buy one to show them
  25. Basically the same as a 40K service but with a plugs change. Can be pricey! £549.54 at Lexus Guildford where i purchased my is200. air, oil filter, screenwash, spark plugs, drain plug gasket and oil. The cost also included the M.O.T. i was under the impression that they did the cam belt at 60k as well, thats very expensive for just a "standard" servicing
