  3. @rx-men-8, its a possibility but still involves cutting etc....not really what i intended. anybody else know where i can get hold of the required connectors....or have another solution??? cheers rob
  4. hi guys, ok, i'm after a bit of help. got my HID kit the other day and went round to mike's (mr morse) to help fit them. the kit doesn't have any male connectors at the end of the wires that come out of the ballast. therefore, in order to fit the kit, we have to remove the plastic sheath from the existing positive and earth wires, and manually make a circuit to the ballasts. ideally, i wanna just be able to attach a male connector to each ballast and then simply plug these into the female connector and off i go i've spoke to toyota and they've told me they dont sell any connector like this!!! does anybody know anywhere i can get them from. cheers in advance. rob
  5. howdy!!!! suprised u aint seen an IS yet....there all over the place in California, but i guess them cowboys aren't that keen!!!
  6. personally, i find it a pain to keep clean as the dirt and muck is really obvious. BUT.....on the other hand, things like scratches don't show up that much. pro's and con's really!! :D
  7. and i thought BB was fast enough earlier on!!!! its gonna be turning even more heads in the future then!!!! :P
  8. cheers mike, was nice meeting you and seeing the beast that is BB in the flesh!!! i'll get there with the bling........eventually :D like you said, they're pretty rare in that colour!!!
  9. well, i own a pearl white IS200 sport and i think it looks great. agreeably, few cars suit white (in my opinion), but the IS definitely does. i personally havn't seen many/any in my local area and its also good to be unique/different. matt/plain white is an awkward colour i think, but the mettallic finish on some white cars (gold pearlescent in my case), really does do the business. but, at the end of the day, its each to their own. :D
  10. mike, i posted a similar question to this with regards to my brother's 96 P reg vectra: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...139&hl=vauxhall dunno if it'll be of any help to you/him. the general consensus went along with the idle control valve, but there's loads of other suggestions in there too.
  11. Good one. But I thought since the other does not have the noise, it must be the door or window (I might be wrong ofcourse!) Any idea how to fix or exclude the wing mirror problem? ← erm, not a technical way.....but if you cover the seem with your hand when you start to hear the noise it should stop (if its coming from there). as for sorting it out....not too sure. ask lexus what they would reccomend. but rule it out first!
  12. just a thought, but maybe the noise is coming from the wind passing over & through the seems on the wing mirror??? you might wanna check that out before you start messing with your door. just an idea anyway.
  13. welcome to the world that is LEXUS you might wanna get in contact with Chris Shipley about a service....very good prices!!!! enjoy the car
  14. sorry to hear bout your accident mate. hope you get it all sorted
  15. You can't turn it on and off as such.....it comes on automatically when you start the car up. @ colinbarber, i'll give that a try in the morning. thought that'd probably be the answer but wasn't sure if it would actually work.
  16. haha....good one!!!!!! had me worried for a minute!!!!!!!
  17. hi guys, just had my front windscreen replaced earlier today (got a stone chip the other day that lead to a 12 inch crack :tsktsk: ) and wondered if anybody knew of a way to check that the heating element in the new screen is in good working order??? the wire from screen to plug are connected but that doesn't neccesseraly mean its working. just wanna check they ain't fitted a dudd'en. cheers rob
