yea kinda. you put the measure of absinth in a shot glass, soak a tea-spoon of sugar in the absinth, set fire to it, mix it all up in the glass. Neck it all back.....feel the pain. put the shot glass on the table and put a wine glass upside down over the shot glass and inhale all the fumes through a straw!!! it hits u harder than a train mate!!!!!!

can you fit wider tyres on the rear, keeping the standard alloys??? or must you buy after-market alloys to accomodate for the wider tyres??? at the minute i'm running 215/45/17's all round and wondered whether i could get some wider tyres for the back?? rob

so let me get this right, there's an actual switch/button on the driver's door that allows this central locking??? what's it look like??? i'm sounding stupid here i know, but i'm totally lost with this one

only tried local garrages to be honest with you, thats why i put up a post to ask for some advice. do you think £280 is a good price for what i've mentioned???

this is the situation....... i can open/close all the doors with the key fob from outside and inside the car. but, i wanna know if you can lock and unlock all the doors whilst driving the car (i.e if i flick the lever on the drivers door to unlock/lock it, should all the other doors unlock). its got nothin to do with the key fob

so i just flick the lock to the closed/open position and all doors should lock/unlock???? if thats the case, then any ideas why it wont do it on mine???

just a quick question....... are you able to lock all the doors from the drivers door in the IS200 sport???? reason i'm asking is because i can't do it on mine and am not sure whether there's a fault, or the facility isn't in place. cheers for any help, rob

hi guys, after taking my car to a regular garage of mine, its time i replace rear discs and pads and the front pads. i've been quoted approximately £280 (inc. labour) from the garage to do the work and am wondering whether thats a reasonable price?? i know it'd cost more from lexus direct, but for something like brakes i don't really see the point of taking it to lexus. is there anybody on LOC who might be able to supply the parts at a better price than this??? i presume the price they've quoted me are for standard replacement discs and pads. any help would be appreciated. cheers, rob :D

cheers colin for explaining that!!! can anyone tell me what tyre set-up to use (i.e what you would reccomend to have on the back and the front) with the standard alloys that are on it, can you still fit a wider tyre????

i too prefer the badged look. if i were you and you weren't too keen on the gold, how about de-badge it and then slap on some gunmetal grey or silver emblems/wording!!! that'll look the part mate.

oh right, i'm with you now!!! oi always thought that the middle number (e.g 45) stood for height in mm!!! no wonder i couldn't understand it all!!! thanks for your help matey. by the way, wat does the ZR mean?? and what set up would you reccomend??

right, kinda half got ya. but i don't understand why even if you increase the width of the tyre but decrease the height (profile), the circumference remains the same. not sure how just the width can help keep the cicumference the same?? on this basis, i have the standard 5-spoke lexus alloys with 215/45/ZR17 (wat does ZR mean aswell???) all around. what could i put on instead of these, without having to adjust/change the alloys (coz i like the alloys i've got)?

not too sure on this one but i'm sure you could explain...... i have 215x45x17's all around on my car, what tyers am i able to upgrade to. by this i mean, am i able to have a lower profile without changing the wheel radius (i.e 17's to 18's). if so, could someone please explain why this is so. also, what is the reccommended tyre size/profile for an IS200....i heard that some people run with larger tyres at the back than the front (or vice versa, can't remmeber which!!!) why is this???? cheers guys

yea i was looking at them, but for the moment think i'm just gonna stick with the 6LED side light clusters from Ultraleds.co.uk. gonna save the extra cash for a HID conversion kit i think. everyone's said how beneficial the HID kit is! does anyone know if installing one of these is easy, or should i look into a garage doing it for me

hi all, just wondered if anybody could tell me how to add some pics (taken from digital camera) into a thread. i can't seem to figure it out!!! also, how do i change my avatar to one of my own pics (again off a digital camera)?? Finally, in order for me to add some pics of my lex into my profile/garage, do i have to go gold??? sorry for all the questions, but i'm sure someone will be able to answer them all in about a sentance, lol!!!!

i will get pic when mrs comes back with car mate, i got it in black, im still not 100% sure if i like it or not :duh: , it was from the same buyer thats on your link i just emailed him and asked if he would send to uk and he said no probs and he only took same postage for sending to uk ← how come you dunno if u like it? i'll ask him if he'd post to the UK later on. if you could get a pic up later today that'd be great as i wanted to get it sorted this weekend. how long did it take to arrive?
