  9. The gas pressure can be measured at the injector of one of the LH Hotplate burners. (Depending On Manufacturer). Remove the pan support, burner head and caps. The injector is now accessible. The pressure should be 20 mbar with a minimum of 3 burners operating. You could have low working pressure at the Gas Meter. Faulty Govenor This should also be checked it should be 21mbar +/- 1 mbar. With the 3 burners operating. There are several other things that can effect the burners:- Size of the room, openable window/door - it may need ventilation. If the volume of the room is less than 5m cube an air vent of effective area 100cm squared is required. If the volume of the room is between 5 - 10m cube an air vent of effective area 50cm squared is required. If the volume exceeds 11m cube, no air vent is required. You will have to check your manufacturers instructions for ventilation requirements for your appliance. Check that they are the correct injectors for G20 gas. Check that the correct injectors are fitted to the correct burner. all the best Paul

  22. I have had full inspection reports on both of my lexuses, GS300 MK1 and Aristo V300 MKII. I advised the dealer that I would have the vehicles subject to a full inspection on the following conditions. 1:- If any faults are reported he puts them right. 2:- If not - the he refunds the full cost of the inspection. Always get this in writing 1st with the cost of the report. I have never had a problem with this. If they were not prepaired to do this I would walk away. Both reports have saved me a lot of money. Thats my experiance anyway. Good luck Best regards Paul

  25. Hello, I think most of the things have been covered here. We mainley fit Viallent, Baxi and Worchester Condensing Combi. 90% are the Baxi Platinum with a 5 year warranty. You don't have to upgrade to a combi as you can get Condensing systems boilers to replace your existing. If you are upgrading to a combi then make sure your shower is compatable! If you have a gravity shower then you may have a problem getting it to work, as the majority of them are not compatible as the increase in pressure will blow the mixer unit seals. Some gravity showers you can get a kit to make it combi compatible. I always advise that if you are upgrading to combi then fit an electric shower. Then if you have a problem with combi you can at least have a hot shower. As for no bolier police every boiler that is fitted must be registered the Corgi Work Notification. Work notification is now a requirement of CORGI Registration. It has been introduced by CORGI to help Registered Installers comply with Government led changes and to increase safety standards with gas work. Under the Government changes, it is now a requirement in England and Wales for all new gas installations and replacements in domestic dwellings to be notified to the Local Building Control (LBC) to ensure they meet building regulations. This requirement is placed upon the home owner and they have two ways to achieve this. Firstly, they can arrange for a local building control officer to visit the appliance to confirm it meets the regulations. Research indicates the fee levied for this service is typically in the region of £300 but is dependant upon the borough. Secondly, the home owner can contract a CORGI registered installer who can self certificate their work and remove the need for the direct involvement of a building control officer. Work Notification has been introduced to allow CORGI Registered Installers to meet this requirement by notifying CORGI at a much lower cost. Once work has been notified, CORGI will notify the LBC and also issue a certificate to the homeowner. This certificate will be used to form part of the Home Information Pack which will be a legal requirement when selling houses from January 2007. All the Best Paul
