  1. I've edited it slightly - don't want to offend anyone! A Girls Prayer: Lord Before I lay me down to sleep,I pray for a man, who's not a creep, One who's handsome, smart and strong, One who's tackle's thick and long. One who thinks before he speaks,When promises to call, he won't wait weeks. I pray that he is gainfully employed, And when I spend his cash, wont be annoyed. Pulls out my chair and opens my door, Massages my back and begs to do more. Oh! send me a man who will make love to my mind, Knows just what to say, when I ask "How big's my behind?" One who'll make love till my body's a twitchin, In the hall, the loo, the garden and kitchen! I pray that this man will love me no end, And never attempts to sh*g my best friend. And as I kneel and pray by my bed, I look at the w**ker you sent me instead. Amen A Boy's Prayer: Lord I pray for a lady with a big cleavage. Amen
  2. I have seen "USB" memory sticks for PC & laptops now. Apparently a head unit for a car or at least an adaptor to fit existing car head units is not far off. The little USB sticks are already available up to 512Mb - with bigger ones to follow. For those that don't know these "memory sticks" are about as big as a stick of chewing gum and plug into the USB port on your PC or Keyboard (and can be kept on your keyring).
  3. I haven't had my GS300 very long but I do have all the previous bills and service record (now on 115,000 MILES). The only big thing was the brake discs - which I read somewhere else on the site can warp under excessive use. The wise previous owner got the spec & quote from Lexus and then got his trusted local garage to replace all disks and pads - for me to inherit! Of all the old and new cars I have driven the GS is by far the smoothest and most solid. I was given a lift in an Almera today - blimey it sounded soooo noisy - all rattles and bangs - and this strange sound under the bonnet - I think they call it the engine....
  4. Much as I hate the supermarkets taking over everything on the old high street they do seem to be suddenyl the best car unsurers. Over the last year at least a third of my office (about 20 people) have all switched to Tesco.Com. This includes every car from Citroen Saxo to the bosses 911 carrera and the odd Calibra Turbo inbetween. I use Privilege (£450 - £150 excess - 30 yrs old 5+protected NCB) but they have been quietly taken over by Direct line. The first thing they did was to cancel ALL courtesy cars whilst yours was off the road !!!! Read the small print people!:wow: [Edited on 10-4-2002 by Jev]
  5. I sell Computer parts to the trade. We used to sell to the public but they didn't understand when we got ****** off when they returned their broken monitors in bin liners via Amtrak..........
  6. Has anyone tried (or heard of?) the CB-26P http://www.ecotekplc.com/howtobuy.htm This little in-line device stirs up the fuel and air mixture for a leaner & more powerful burn. Sounds almost too good to be true? Unfortunately engines over 2.6Litre need a pair of the little kits. Even professionally fitted the job would be less than £100. Feedback appreciated. :smug:
  7. I have placed an order with "www.carmats4u.com" Again they are a British outfit, but recognised my GS300 model and even showed the approximate correct shape on their "design your own" page. I'll update what they look like when they get here.
  8. I'm not a Lexus expert but I suspect that you will need a little trip to your local Lexus dealer. They will probably want to see proof of ownership? and they will reactivate the radio/CD for you. It is a bit of a pain but then the idea is that stolen radios from a Lexus are useless to the thief - and so discouraging theft in the first place.
  9. 19 - The Adventure game (Gronda-Gronda your highness..- a talking green bush was a king - bizarre program..) 33 - Chucky's Children 31 - really bugging me now - it had 2 "Knight Rider-like" talking cars I think?
  10. Latest news from my computer tech-heads at work. Look out for MP3"PRO" - an upgraded version of the famous software that compresses more so that you can include more top end and over-all quality (apparently). Not to be confused with MP4 - thats for movie files.:P
  11. Am I missing something here? The easiest way must be to see if there is a multi changer that you can straight swap where the head reads MP3 as well as normal audio. Maybe you could just change the head unit? I work with computers and most CD-Roms or CD-RW (re-writers) and now even domestic DVD players can see MP3 (along with lots of other formats).:wow:
  12. My local LPG agent told me they cover the conversion part for 12 months - but have experienced a little dificulty with the cars original warranties. Apparently a lot depends on the system and how you use it. Their system has a 3 way main control switch. all gas, all petrol or "auto". i.e. AUTO in the UK typically it would run petrol for 5 minutes until warm - then flick to gas until tank runs dry - then auto flick back to petrol if you forget to re-fill with LPG. They say auto is the best as the LPG system doesn't like really cold starts.
  13. I replaced the broken cigarette lighter (the removable bit - not the whole module). It worked fine a couple of times and then blew the "F/Cig" fuse down in the stupid fuse box by the accelerator pedal. First of all - anyone got tips as to what is wrong? Secondly - why did the F/Cig fuse blowing cause my heater/radio controls to stop working? They have their own fuses?
  14. I was once told that Right Hand Drive exists as a throw back to jousting and/or travelling on horse back? - most people are right handed, so you want your sword hand nearest your opponent..... p.s......sorry, I'm renound for knowing all this useless drivel..........
  15. Many thanks for the advice. I have just discovered a work colleague has a contact at "THULE" - they make all sorts of bars, boxes, cycle carriers, surfboard brackets......etc.... I'm waiting to see how much discount I can get?
  16. Roof bars.....not the sexiest part about owning a Lexus I freely admit. I have just collected my Black 1994 GS 300. I knew Lexus had a good reputation, but finally owning one has exceeded expectation. However, part of the downside is that the "average" boot is not big enough for the occasional weekend trip. Can anyone recommend good (but cheap) supplier of roofbars & accessories that is not going to A- ruin the roof at the fixing points and B- not fall off on that next burn through the fens......!!
