  1. My next biggest job on my SC is a complete respray but will be staying with same colour “black” maybe with bit of a sparkle tho in it as just normal black is costing me 4K so might as well spend a bit more for something different which sticks out slightly from the norm too much peeheeing around to do a colour change ie door shuts under bonnet and boot.... your silver in my opinion is the best colour, i have that colour on my LS agree with you about covering plastic dash and other bits of trim 👍🏻...hmmmm next job to do after respray lol
  2. Was i..... and cost of leather seat base with intrigated heater element would of been £1350 plus vat had it not of been covered by extended warranty i had...on the LS600hL. And most likely other LSs and other models the leather and heater element are intrigated together and aren’t separate hence the price,,,, and indeed ended up being a £10-20 relay that was at fault
  3. Re the battery drainage, i had similar problem and has been suggested to switch stereo off PRIOR to parking up as amp stays on and drains battery,..... never had a flat battery since and cars left for a week or two, whilst i am away working,
  4. What’s wrong with yours ive the same 09 rsr but just a mear 48k miles on clock 👍🏻
  5. So..... so far i have DE-beiged,DE-wooded and now in process of DE-chroming 😆 rear L badge carbon wrapped with 3m 4D high gloss carbon wrap
  6. Wrapping finished and double din system installed, still to decide what im doing with gear select silver surround as badly scratched bottom pic is how it looked before i started changing things
  7. All wood trim now completly carbon wrapped, plus new touch screen double din stereo with beatsonic interface all ready to be fitted later on tomorrow (today) then thats it for a wee while before i change something else lol
  8. Recovered the bit of carpet on front base of seat to leather this morning...
  9. Yep 6 x 10mm and 2 x screws to remove sat nav and stereo everything else on dash is pull off
  10. Im a expert at door trim removal now, and will be coming off again when i get windows retinted.... doing things arse about tit as guy thats doing wrap will be doing tints as well but id already stripped everything out when he said oh i could tint your windows as well...bugger lol will wait till ive attached all unplugged things then drive down to his in new year and get tints done
  11. Stripped all wood panel trims out and taking them to a proffesional to cover, little mistakes on bits i did are doing my nut in so someone else can do them lol and will travel to guys business in luxury rather than boot of LS lol
  12. Little bit of trim wrapping today, still got dash n centre console bits to do, but work n family commitments are hindering me (damned pesky children 😂) Ps will have to strip and re wrap passenger side as carbon effect is going opposite direction to other side and my OCD is killing me 😆
  13. I have the luxury of having a whisper quiet V8 LS600hL and the roar of a 3rd cat deleted custom stainless steel exhaust on my V8 SC430 neighbours never hear me coming or going in the LS but wake the whole village up in the SC 😂
  14. Lol both wrong gov site says 2012, i bought 5 new tpms and got them coded and put onto aftermarket alloys, but still have orginal alloys with tpms for winter time, but have had to store originals away from where i park my LS as overtime originals lost a bit of pressure and everytime i parked up outside house or on drive or garage the warning would pop up on dash and intially didnt have a clue why Warning was coming on till weeks later when i moved wheels in garage to shed at bottom of garden, bingo no warning then checked pressure on orginal n found problem lol on my SC i unplugged tpms system with no warnings or alarms appearing... can be done on early to 2006 but seemingly not on 07-09 models
  15. Quality inspectors like them 😂
  16. It did , but id already purchased the black so your fault now if i have to change it at extra cost..... bills in the post 😉
  17. Think i’ll just buy a new car to my spec next time 😆 probably be cheaper, but then again not as much fun
  18. Oi ive just had rear seats changed so not getting rid of them 😆 double din unit and paint and cold air intake and strut brace is still on my to do list suspension exhaust alloys done prior to me purchasing interior change steering wheel and lights since my possession wrapping wood next week ,,, going black 5d carbon but might end up going red yet, will see how black looks first, ive to take door cards off anyway to fit the new weather seals i picked up the other day so will start with wood on doors first
  19. No not really, i only partially removed bumper to access headlights, job only took about 2n half hrs and that was with 2 coffee breaks and a chat with neighbours... went in blind not knowing what to do intially but with prior knowledge job could be done in little over a hour didnt realise how much light the tint was stopping coming thru till i took 1 light off then put new one on then switched on lights and wow huge difference, intially was thinking of maybe a light very grey tint to put on ...but no nope not a chance now after noticing the difference
  20. New headlights fitted and car looks ohhhhhh so much better than with tinted ones on(plus bit of crazing on lenses) was going down lines of fitting drl indicator bulbs but decided not to for the time being, they can just sit on garage shelf till later maybe
  21. New steering wheel fitted, got car back last week but not 100% happy as new leather looks baggy in parts and front headrests are shocking, car will be going away again to get this sorted, happy with everything else and glad to see back of the beige, roof lining not been done at my request as i think it would make the car feel a bit too dark and cramped inside looking, and apart from that no ones going to see it anyway in summer as roof be down lol also fitted new radiator header tank, and will fit the brand new headlights next week oh and new bottom door weather seals just arrived as the orginal ones didnt take to well to being painted and beige starting to show through already wood will be wrapped soon as well
  22. Im not known for my patience, but on this i have been very layed back as i can see a huge transformation and attention to detail, be a different story if it was summer or my only car 😆 but wow what a car it will be for the summer once its fully completed gone OTT and OCD over this car, originally cost me £10300 and already spent around £4500 with more ideas in the pipeline plus booked in for a 4K respray in the springtime obviously wont see money back on this car but im not looking to sell anyway, i will have it just the way i want it... in time i dont have any hobbies taking up my time and money apart from my 2 cars plus want to spent all my money before i die and kids squabble on whos getting how much 😆 they cant fight over whats not there 😉 bumper will be coming off completely when i go to fit new headlights anyways
  23. @Herbie lol cancelled my ebay relay purchase as was going to take nearly 3wks to arrive so bought off amazon at over double the price but be here monday morning....to impatience thats me lol
  24. @Herbie yeah ive learned from bad experience with the resistors, fitted LEDs to my lorry with these and melted the headlight casing, then i read the instructions on mounting them to metal base...DOH reason these where expensive as it was only company that would post up to Scottish highland and islands rest stipulated they dont/wont post up my way...so bite the bullet and payed more to a company that would, flasher relay ordered THANKS for that info
  25. Ps car finish has been delayed as was expecting to pick up yesterday, but a supplier and a disgruntled ex worker (who hide some trim parts that never got colour coded and only found after rest of parts had been fitted ) so these parts still need painted up (rear headrest trim) but everything in hand now so fingers crossed for pick up a week today (only because i work away from home and not back till friday)
