  1. Hopefully problem will soon be sorted thanks to Gord and his TTE coilovers :winky: cant wait to get them on now and get the geometry sorted as at the moment i feel like i'm driving a ferry on choppy water??
  2. Hello and welcome to the LOC mate. The timing belt on your car should be replaced at 100,000 miles or 10 years according to the lexus warranty and care book page 14, but for piece of mind i'd personaly have it changed and get the belt tensioner done at the same time? There are a few topics on this on the loc site so if you use the search function you should be able to find out what other members have done hope this helps Chris... :) Gord you must be able to type faster than me mate :D
  3. Thats strange mate i've not long posted about this as i lowered mine last Friday and have the same problem if you have a look at my topics there are a few answers on it think this is the topic?= http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=42508 Hope it helps mate? Chris.... :)
  4. Or you could join us at JAE if you like? :D
  5. Best to speak to him direct... http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...p?showuser=8708 He was in as much distress as you so has some valuable information. Thanks for your time mate much appreciate the help, i'll get in touch with him as its a bit of a pain at the moment Again thankyou Chris... :)
  6. I am sure they look identical... Niraj incorrectly fitted his lowering springs some years ago. I kept re-checking his Geometry since the car was handling so badly.... If i recall correctly tdiplc realised the problem and the numbers on the springs proved he had a diagonal bias. Hello, Is there a way of checking the springs as i took them off the shocks they were on and did them 1 at a time so i didnt mix them up? Lee-iceman never had a problem when they were fitted to his car? so thought it was a bit strange that they do it on mine? thanks mate Chris.... :)
  7. Hello mate I did make sure that i got them the right way round as they came off another set of is200 shocks going to see if they settle over the week and if not go back to my original setup for the time being? Chris... :)
  8. Hello matey Yeh tried both sets now and does the same on both sets i even tried mixing them as thought it might of just been mine going a bit soft but a bit odd that both do the same? going to see if they settle over the week then if not i'll have to drop my 4x4 looking set back on for the time being? :) realy do like the look of the car with them on so want them to work? maybe i'll pop over one day if you dont mind and let you have a spin in it to see if its just me as it could be me not usedto it??
  9. Hi, You did replace each side of the car with a new spring so you put a set of new springs on the front.... or did you fit new springs on the front and rear? If youve just replaced the springs then you could replace the shocks, but you will have to make sure they match the spring rate of the spring. Chips. The springs that i fitted were apexi lowering springs 2 front and 2 rear on the original shocks will have to find the spring rate as not sure? i brought them from Lee-iceman as he had them on his car for 2000 miles approx? Cheers Chips Chris... :)
  10. Thanks Chips, Its weird because before i put the spring on it drove great do you think i'd have to change all four shocks as i bet thats going to cost a bit?? Maybe it would be better getting a set of coilovers as i bet the cost wont be a lot more? Chris.... :)
  11. Hello could do with some help have been searching on and off through the day but only found my problem once on an ls400? Anyway my problem is i fitted my lowering springs on friday all went well and nice tidy job when i went out in it last night i noticed the front end to be bouncing up and down the faster i went i got to about 90mph and had to slow down as it felt very unsafe Does anyone know the cause for this or has it happend to anyone before could it be worn shocks?? as tried another set of shock today and its still the same my shocks have done approx 76k miles but not sure if it would cause the car to bounce in a pimp my ride kind of way? :tsktsk: Any help would be great Thanks Chris.... :)

  14. I'd have a quick look to see if the cable has come off either in the boot or on the handle if not and you can get hold of either end of it give it a pull to see if it has snapped, probably need a pair of long nose pliers but could be worth a look mate??
  15. Hello mate and welcome On the light switch for the lights you have a grey ring that you turn which will turn your front fog lights on? the stalk on the left hand side of the steering wheel if i can remember without going out to have a look? ;) where abouts in the west mids are you mate? Chris... :)

  18. Not as yet mate going to find out about a price for it this week as its now starting to bug me and want to get it sorted before i go to JAE or i'll be putting my tent over the front?
  19. Aztecbandit: i got them done locally they were £250 but that included taking the rear window out to do the tint properly. I haven't got the front done because dont want to pay for them then have the local coppers make me rip them out. Also the Strut brace is a Prolex USA one. Stav Cheers Stav will have to find out about the strut brace as looks better than most i've seen, :) only going to go for a very light tint on the front but will find out about the legal requirements for front tints as i know the boys in blue dont like them as they can't see you pulling faces at them :D Was the flip down screen easy to fit as been looking at them aswell as a few other bits? Cheers matey... :)
  20. Sandles i thought they were clogs.. :D looking very clean matey the sport bumper does seem to set the is200 off and i do like your strut brace will have to have a look at your mods page for a bit more info, Will have to pop up your way again as enjoyed it the last time i came up :D Where did you get your tints done Stav did it cost much as thinking of getting my fronts done?? Chris... :)
