Hi all, Since changing my spark plugs the engine is not ticking over smoothly anymore, the idling speed is much the same but there is definitly a bit of an intermittant shake in the car, slight audible variation too... They car is actually driving better, but this isn't normal.....Is it? Should i be concerned......put the old plugs back in maybe? I reset the ECU but has made no difference, checked the connections, all seems ok The only difference is the plugs that were in were a lower heat range then what i put in, Denso IK20 ...now IK22, would this make a difference...... The Plug gaps are different....much larger on the ones that came out.... What to do...? Concerned!

Really depends on your complexion, It the person is milky white they look hard, whereas darker complexions it looks neat.....

Changed mine recently(DENSO IK22), engine seems to be ticking over differently, not racing up and down but more of a gap some times in the noise....am i being paranoid?, I reset the ECU.... but it's still the same, Car is definitly driving much better though... Other thing ,I know the plug gap is already set on the Denso's, but the plugs that came out ( DENSO IK20) 2 of them had gaps twice the size as the ones i put in...? didn't look burnt....looked fine actually..( no expert but checked with pics on the web, on what to look out for.)... should i worry? Tips- (for newbies, like me ) Use an air hose to blow all the sh!t out off the holes first.........sounds bad but you know what i mean, ;) Use a piece of rubber hose when screwing in the new plugs, that way you can be sure they are treading in properly....Finish by tighting with the plug wrench Only use the rubber insert in the plug wrench for REMOVING the old plugs....blasted thing stayed on the first new plug...Had to remove the plug to get it off......Or buy a dear one that keeps the bloody thing where it's supposed to be!

I saw the Brera up close in the Frankfurt motor show , alright ....but nothing to get excited about... however the Mitsubishi Concept was also there and wow...sure hope it makes it into production as is... Concept...rumoured to be the new Lancer

So there was a strike after all but in Northern Ireland not the South.

I've had DBA gold grooved and drilled front discs, standard rear with Mintex pads all round on the IS200 for the last two years and have been extremely happy with their performance. Can i ask how many grooves you have and how many miles do you get from your pads....oh and a big question are you an aggressive or gentle braker....? thanks

Petrol and diesel are almost the same price now ...low of 104 c ( 72p) to 127c (87p) , don't forget this is low octane sh!t as well 95 ron, you can find better ron at some select stations but £££££.......aint that rich! Worst part of our road tax is the state of the secondary roads, i forget the facts but most of the Road tax taken in dosen't actually get spent of the roads.....and we have VRT too....Take a new 2lt car and add 30% to the price to "register it"....
