the is200 does not play mp3 at all on the standard radio. i would call bull shi on the story of aftermarket cut keys damaging the barrel. if the key is cut to the original then no problem and it of course has to be cut to the original otherwise it wouldnt work. the barrel is well known to fail - it will lock in the ACC position and you can remove the key when in that position. give the barrel a good hard tap and it should free itself, then order a new barrel as it will fail again. I ave removed and stripped and cleaned the barrel only for it to fail again after some weeks - the wafers bind against the housing, this is not just a simple case of dirt in the lock it is metal to metal contact and binding.

have a look for mastercool uv coolant dye, i found if for about £3 i had a look on ebay but most are for computer water cooling systems

hardly barry, i only mentioned it again as someone chose to remove what had been a perfecly legitimate and plausable situation. if it hadnt been removed then that would have been the end of it. :P but anyway onwards and upwards i guess

a pity it was private.... didnt you get a UV dye put in though?? should be easy to spot if its an external leak. you can buy it yourself also, many many online shops sell it.

before jumping to conclusions i would wait for a while and see what happens .. remember there is a postal problem at the moment. if the person is ignoring pm etc then fair enough. i can only guess it is from one of the newer members

wouldnt bother - for the price of a repair kit and your time etc i would just go to a wheel refurdb place at about @50 a corner it will be done properly and look good also.

if put on the normal market then it prob wouldnt fetch too much more than a very good looked after version

ok but to be fair 99% of all cases we have seen on here have been a result of the windscreen replacement.

no the standard offset is 50, however i did have some old wheels that had a 45 offset. remove your standard wheels and look on the back and you will find 50 is stamped on them.

stop fretting and just get the aerosol VAPOUR VERSION of aircon cleaner and do it yourself..... get 2 cans if you want to be over kill. it will be about £20 and 30 mins of your time at the most inc buying the stuff. do it properly once or pishhh about trying other methods

i bet the windscreen has been replaced..........

you must have been reading about turbo setups or dodgy set ups from TDI-PLC when they were trying to get more power. with a standard TTE supercharger setup its really as simple as plug and play and reliable. Only thing to watch for is the screws on the front of the pulley sometime snap as they are made of chocolate but replace them with high quality screws and all is good. otherwise its a fit and forget upgrade, they do come up every now and then though.

sounds about normal but the is200 is quicker than a prius. nut my first Q would be is someone else getting ahead of you at the lights such a major problem? So what if they do, doesnt mean anything, if someone tries to race then let them, be relaxed and content in the knowledge you have a nice comfortable car and dont need to try prove you are the big swinging richard but a supercharger is your best option 2nd hand you are looking around 2 - 2.5K. induction kits and exhaust will do nothing to the car in standard form and its doubtful they do anything noticable "real world" even after the normal engine mods (i am happy to be proved otherwise when backed up by dyno charts)

LEAVE THAT VALVE ALONE................ STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE!! :winky: that is the air conditioning valve - if you press it down you will get a face full of refrigerant. TBH i have never drained the coolant on mine but from reading other post from people who have they parked the car on a sharp hill and ran the engine with the rad cap off. dont open the rad cap if you have driven there tho. i have not seen any bled caps on the car so i assume its just a rad cap off design Ormi will know more

when cold....... also no point checking pressures when you have been driving for ages either.

You see, i did think about that - being at the strut towers where the hole would need to be cut - but would a strut brace then not counteract the hole making? Or am i being slightly stupid? not being a stress engineer i can not give you a 100% correct answer, however as the strut towers/arch are structural and support the weight of the car via the suspension unit i would not go start cutting any holes in them. i doubt strut brace will compensate as that works in a different plane (angle).

It was back in March that I got those and they're still available .... 4 CR1616 batteries for £3.90 delivered .... TG So basically, if you get per of CR1616s and fit them by unscrewing the key at the back of it, that should do the trick? I always believed that if you replace the battery then you need to reprogram the chips inside... false
