  1. oil catch tank has absolutly nothing to do with oil return from a turbo. that is to catch any oil vapour rather than it going back into the air inlet
  2. why would it have to be imposing???? the GS looks far better in my opinion, it doesnt have to be fancy or is it a "keep up with the neighbours" sytle/attitude?
  3. hi mate i have 225/45/17 bridgestone all 4 thanks wahid i have the same and it only tends to slide on 1 particular road that is cobbled at the junction, so when pulling out it does slip a bit but otherwise no issues at all!!! having wider tyres makes the loading per contact area far less than a narrower tyre so increases the chances of a slide. check your tyres pressures, read depth/wear and the most basic of all dont floor it! also remember when the temps drop below 7C the rubber of normal tyres starts to harden and you have less grip, if you are having troubles now then i would hate your chances when it does get cold and there is a good frost. But as yu mention there was something on the road it could well have been diesel and it wont matter if you had good tyres or not - it will cause a slide

  8. the OP said the key wont turn...... your lock barrel is stuffed - give it a good hsarp tap with a drift and a hammer and it should shock it free........ now go to the dealer and order a new lock barrel to match your existing key - it will be about £80.... if the dealer says they cant do it then get them to call HQ as many have had it done and not all dealers know it is possible.

  11. excellent price.. finding the bearing is norm quite hard as its a very strange size.. well done. make sure you get some wide gap bearing retainer ( loctite) as the bearing is a loose fit on the bearing support!
  12. overpressure.. and are u using a garage forecourt pressure uage or a personal one??? i hope its a personal one!
  13. which engines have a combined electric and air start?? forgot about this... RB211 does not have a combined electric starter motor and bleed air starter, i actually dont know of any high bypass engine that uses a combined starter. however if you mean it uses a bleed air starter and is controlled electronically that is a different matter.
  14. makes no difference to the gearbox as it is just a shorter stick linkage.... the gearbox on the is200 is crap anyway and does suffer from worn hubs/syncros as norm.
  15. changing the complete evaporator assembly because of a bacterial build up is like replacing the car because of a tyre puncture!
  16. i have had the car 10 years use the car dialy and have never had a key break.... i however do check the screw is tight
  17. how do you mean by wobble?? EXACTLY what does the car do? have you checked your tyre pressures also?
  18. then you either need to find someone with a mobile air impact gun or find an electric one. is the car battery charged?
  19. have a look for bosch asia silver they are a decent battery but u can get a good battery from the dealer also quite cheap - dont discount dealer prices as sometimes they are cheaper than motorfactors for items!
  20. haha no chance throw it in the bin - it will do more good there than on your car!
  21. it could also be going down a bit if it is still bleeding air a little
