  3. ok thanks, thats what i thought u might have got.... ill see if the 60mm goes over the cooler ends and go from there. thanks for the info.
  4. DO NOT use vaseline unless u want to replace all of your seals in the near future......... it rots the seals. use silicone grease instead.
  5. hi, i may be in the market for a xbox 360, saw a few good eals before xmas - elite box, halo and COD modern warefare bundle but only deals i can now find are with crap games, batman etc. so what have you seen or know of?
  6. did you maybe just maybe notice the video was AMERICAN??? THEY DO NOT USE CELCIUS! 215F IS 100C
  7. the steering shaft and knuckle is in the way
  8. 1 more Q: it looks from your pictures you have had to use reducers for connecting the intercooler to the tte pipework? i ask because the tte pipes are 60mm and the intercooler is 63mm, i reckon the 6mm pipes could be squeezed on. i looked for 60-63mm reducers but didnt find any
  9. u need to undo the steering knuckle
  10. doesnt work very well at all...been discussed many times here before. good luck getting dry ice as well in small amounts.
  11. resulting in road damage (rise in council tax), alloy wheel damage, and trashed back ends when the numpties try to drive with them on a road with no deep snow and then the chain breaks - you can imagine the damage that would cause! but hey go for it, it would give me something to laugh about.
  12. is this the same mechanic who said the IS has tappets?
  13. snow/ice resulting from the compacted wet snow u have in th UK and your SUMMER tyres with no weight over the drive wheels means you will have no grip. normal tyres go hard below 7C and you loose the grip. only safeway to be driving the IS is with a set ot winter tyres, if you dont want a set of dedicated winter tyres ten go for all season as they are a comprimise between both. remember winter tyres are not pure snow tyres... they are tyres made for the cold also!
  14. tis mearly a light dusting, we had 10cm in an hour 2 days ago, everything still continued as normal though........
  15. you can not really use chains in the UK under 99% of circumstances the everyday driver faces - they are for deep compacted snow, drive on a normal road and u will wreck the chains and the road and when the chain breaks expect a big bill for repairs as it lashes your car to bits. even though i have winter tyres i still but a few bags of grit in the bag rather than sand as if i do get stuck grit is better than sand.
  16. thinner tyres are better in snow as there is more weight per square cm, the IS is fine in snow if you use the appropriate tyres.
  17. the SC unit must have cost quite a lot??? for your intercooler just to confirm its this one.... ebay item 370233920806 and i wonder whos IS is being used here 370233920972
  18. makes no difference to me TBH, if it took me 5 mins to change then i would have driven after 5 mins etc etc. why would it NOT be a good idea?
  19. you cant have searched very hard as ALL the info is available via the new technology breakthrough called google. i just typed in is200 supercharger and all the sites show pictures and power info - same with is200 turbo
  20. and if there is even a slight layer of snow the country stops and police issue warnings that people should not drive....... 99.9% of people in UK do not use winter tyres hence the accidents and warnings. coldest the car has been was at -22 and it was there for 5 days, started fine and i left it to idle for 15 minutes whilst i got my snowboard kit off, no gearbox issues and a warm cabin.
