    The thing I dont like about the turbo is that the amount of modification to the engine is far greater than that of the compressor. I would not want anyone tampering with too much!

    well I did reply to the request to moderate inside and out, from superchargedIS200 and any other forum but obviously my credentials are inadequate, I mean I know I type with my ears but its stil; qurtete gooood thuoohg.

    spoke to them on the phone today, did not give too much away except to run down compressor a bit, funny that TTE etc the specialists do not use it. Also tdi would list a far higher price for a hybrid turbo

    What do you guys think about the turbo, almost 100bhp at 3800rpm seems a lot when others are listing only a 20% power hike. Any thoughts?

    thanks, I will quiz my insurance company on that becuase they have just doubled my premium from £329 - £680 becuase I had compressor fitted.

    The Hyper Muffler is not too loud, just a nice deep sound that lets you know you have a 6 cylinder engine!

    Hi, also have HKS hyper muffler rear box, the sound is fab, also a reasonable power increase. I saw a guy at tdi with a twin pipe set up he had bottomed it out becuase it was so low, also you could see were the arch had been cut out for it to fit in to the body kit, looked a bit chad. You would need a custom made rear skirt. The system did not sound as nice as the HKS( personal preference).

    I also have the Eibach springs, they are good and you can notice the improvement.

    Why not just go for a professional powder coating, the IS200 has as good brakes as anything else, in fact the 60-0 is among one of the best on any car, better than M3 evo, Mercs and Jags plus many more high performance cars.

    Hi Lexicon, the problems I had were some management faults showing, TDi have corrected this, it was down to either some dry solder or a wire that was to tight and pulled on acceleration. The car is stunning now, I would recommend a HKS Hyper muffler Rear box (8-15 bhp+) and a spring upgrade like the eibach superchargedis200 and I have as the handling and sound are sweet. I have standard 17" on my car and all is fine. As for LSD could be usefull if you drive it hard. As Nike say 'just do it'.

    well its ok having 200+bhp, especially when I make the car look so good, hee hee hee. Very nice, left some IS200 trembling in my wake, I might get some exterior speakers and play Ride of the Valkaris when overtaking them.

    Hi all I had an RX300 for a week while lexus sorted out the paint they scratched on my IS200. NIce 4x4 but it would have been easier to park a tank in town, Luxury yes but did not like the position or the space it took up. Gearbox changed up just at the point you want it to rocket forwards?

    I will add some addresses for kits in the US and UK this weekend. If you are interested I have instigated the change of kits for IS200 2001 model on, previous kits did not fit, they held buttons down but after 7 months of hasle got company to change them. Had mine finnished last week after 9 month wait for stereo part. Will post pics this weekend 1st dec
