I've the same car as you and fitted the nokia blue tooth car kit with a buddy of mine who does it for a living. he reckoned it'd be serious agro to link it tru the car speakers and it could result in rattles and invalid warrenty. we put the speaker in the corner far left corner of the pasenger footwell and located an ignition wire when we pulled down the trim above it. we threaded the microphomne cable to the drivers side and fixed it just below the steering wheel. the nokia button is on the steering colum. since the antenna is good on the fone we didn't fit the car one. the hard wire hook up for the fone if you don't wanna use bluetooth or need to charge the fone is in the arm rest. all in all deadly job, no holes drilled or damage or marks to dash. while it doesn't switch off the radio i got one of those magnet things for the back of the fone, this lets the fone be fixed below the drivers air vent so you can see who's calling.

quick question. I'm considering adding an extra sub and amp to my 220. i was gonna go for a 12 inch kicker solobarc and alpine amp ( in attic from previous car) and do it so that the face of the sub is exposed through the rear armrest when open. is that the existing amp located in the boot to the right under the trim and if so can it take additional outputs? its the standard stereo package, hence the need for extra bass. I don't wanna go ripping apart the dash if possible.

34. had a VW polo at 23. this is my first lex, had 3 audis and 3 VWs previous. this trend may indicate that i go for a hat trick of lex?

Similar thing happened to the wife last year in an underground car park, we came back from the pub, I was half p****d and noticed widow was broken and stereo gone, went all gung ho and found scum bag hidding in corner, he pulled a knife so I let him away. Wfe was upset for a long time. hope your situation works out

My heart goes out to you, my 220 was also dinged by a half blind bat in a car part too lat week, same colour a yours and all, sounds like a conspiracy. I fitted the nokia car kit also a great bit of kit, i opted to mount the button on the steeing column a you can't see it. i also got one of those magnet things on ebay that secures the phone to the dash, so i can see text messages, this is the business and i put it under the dricers side air vent, its also adhesive so theres no damage to the car. have you thought about getting the turtle wax colour stick, you get it in the colour of your car and like acrayon build up a layer of wax flush with the surface and polish it in to fully blend it with the rest of the paint job, it takes about half an hour to do a good job, i've used it on my previous cars and it has worked a treat.

Do you have to take it off or anything?

Just came out of shop to see same old lady leaning on her door to get into her 12 year old punto, no problem except she had her door opened into my pasenger door, result..... first ding, its about 4 inches long and theres a chip of paint gone at the top (I reckon as she got a dose of the shakes) I knocked on her window and told her but *** bless her eyesight she couldn't see a thing, what can you do. I'm absolutly gutted, is there any quick and easy solution or do i just leave it, I gave it a light buff of polish when i got home while in denial..."maybe its my imagination, maybe the polish will make it vanish!" I gotta say though, I've had 3 audis before and none of them showed up marks like this, I think the skins and paint on the lexus are a bit soft, you can see this with stone chips as well.

at the moment i've just over 3000 miles on the clock, economy has been improving on every fill and at the moment is averaging 46mpg mixed driving (still opening it up but only once engine is warmed up, it really seems to hit economy if you open it up; 90mph+, at the start of a journey) , one week i got 52mpg but didn't use AC and drove pretty easy. None of my driving is on a motorway. I got a device that I'm going to clamp onto the fuel inlet to the engine. I've always used it on my previous cars and it increases economy by bout 5% and gives a wee bit more bhp, can anyone direct me to where the fuel inlet pipe is on the engine?

IS220 jus under 800 euro in Ireland for a years tax, Oh to be complaining bout paying 200 - 300 euro a year

got 49mpg one week when i drove fairly carefully, while there was virtually no town driving, the longest journey was only 30 miles, standard though I'm getting mid 40's. does AC really make a difference?

Anyone know whats the story with lexus mudflaps for the new IS, my dealer says that they're not out yet but i find that hard to believe

mine was 69km which is exsessive but they store the cars about 30km away from the garage and i left it a couple of days before i collected it, also the mpg was unreal low when i got it so i reckon they drove the nuts off it on the way in. anyone know whats the story with genuine Lexus moulded mudflaps, dealer says they haven't come in yet but i reckon they could be telling porkies

Same happened to me two days after i got the car, fair p****d at the time, igot ththe first ones from the link/address in ebay below. tdelivery was slow but quality is tops, i don't think therse much point in getiing ones that aren't anti theft cause they'll just get nicked. the top part with the lexus logo just spins around if you don't use the key which you stick on your keyring. http://search.ebay.ie/search/search.dll?cg...caps&category0=

Using Crusie control and driving like a prist I got the MPG on 220D up to 49, averaging out at 45 in general. I'm not generally on a motorway though, roads in Ireland are not as fast as UK. Handbrake is a pain in the ***** and I never even knew bout ASL

Hi all Brendan from Irland here. First time on LOC, Got a new IS220 in Jan, Ice blue, Pretty cool. Had a new model Audi A3 that laked in power. Was gonna get A4 2.0 TDi untill new IS came out, No contest. only just found LOC or would have signed up sooner
