  1. Well done maneesh...looks smart! I had them done for my IS at the same place, here are some pics!
  2. Hey dudes, -Yeah, i was worried they looked a little on the cheap side! But the original looked smart in your guys' cars! (-and seeing them made me realise how much iv been leaning! lol) Also Mr. lex mentioned that they had some success with an aftermarket kit a little while back ...anyway i emailed the guy with some pictures of the OEM one to see if he could come up with anything. Fingers crossed. (althought it is a bit of a long shot!)
  3. Hi all, I was thinking of asking these guys to try and make up an aftermarket centre armrest for the IS, as an alternative to the OEM one. (-looks like it would work out alot cheaper!) Any thoughts?? Anyone tried this before?
  4. ....i decided to take it as a compliment!
  5. These guys should be ok...i was quite pleased with mine! :D
  6. Any links to the places for fitting the screens- lee, - gord? :D Out of interest where have you guys seen the progressive ice screens? do they do lexus?
  7. Thanks for the replies... £100 for the pair!?! Much better than any price iv been quoted! Where are you guys getting them done? -perhaps i could arrange it by post. Unless anyone can suggest somewhere in the south (London area) Also what type of screen are you guys using? Heard many that are available are too big.
  8. Hi Guys, Anybody had any experience of the headrests with screens already fitted? i.e. the ones which are a straight swap for the factory headrests. Something like these. Also seen quite a few on ebay. Are they a good match?
  9. Didnt mean to make u throw up! Hope youve got a mop! :P Assumed it was good stuff because iv seen quite a few people with it, and sounded ok to me. (Went for audiobahn myself!)
  10. Yeah kicker is generally good. -A friend of mine had two square kicker subs (although his were the highest power!) in his IS and you could hear him coming a mile off! Not sure about this deal though- been a while since i bought any audio equipment!! :duh: Here is the link for the shop i used, and they're not too far from Ace either (might need to hagle on price a bit though!). :D
  11. I cant see anything wrong with the fitting! :D How come you had to use extra glue?
  12. Hi Maneesh, You might remember my set up from the last Ace Cafe... before that i was running the sub with a line driver off the rear speakers and after changing the headunit id say that the bass quality became much better. So you might find you end up changing it in the end anyway! Also id say youre better off going for a seperate sub and amp....as this often means better quality and power, which youll need if the boot is a metal box like on the IS!
  13. Cheers guys, ....In fact i was also considering the trd front lip also- just thought that will be more expensive because painting is required, and looks like its more lightly to touch the ground....still thinking about it though. Chris - the pics on your first post were v.helpful-spats do look smart, do you know if they were hard to fit? (DIY job?) -Oh and thanks for the Teeside link.
  14. Hi all, I was looking for a subtle (and cheaper!) alternative to changing my front bumper, thought the corner spats might be good and might even be less lightly to be a problem over bumps. (car is lowered.) Can't find too many pictures though- anybody got /seen any pics? (side view would be great.) Thanks.
  15. Hi guys, I took the plunge and lowered my sport -30mm on Tein type basic coilovers a couple of days ago... and have to say it looks much better!! (will put up some pics tonight) However ive noticed that the car feels alot 'heavier' now that the springs are beggining to settle, by that i mean it feels like ive got a full car of people ie the steerings not as light and the car doesnt pull away as smoothly!! Is this normal? -im on 225,8j,18 wheels with ET40 Gonna book the car in with wheels in motion- will that help? Thanks.
  16. Hi Derek, The guy who fitted the exhausts said that i should get a 5-7 BHP increase, and now that theyve been on for a while im inclined to agree! Its at the very least alot smoother when accelerating but i wouldnt be surprised if a test showed a few more BHP. In fact the imrovement was so much that im leaning towards getting an induction kit and sports cat to emphasize the effect even more!
  17. Hi all, I was looking to get my "99 IS200 Sport lowered, using TTE -30mm springs. But i've heard that the sport model from that year is already lowered by 15mm.(is that true?) Does that mean that with the springs ill only get a another 15mm lower? or is there a set of springs especially for the sport? Also i think the fitment on my 18 inch wheels is 215/35/18, is it lightly that ill get rubbing on the arches when its dropped?
  18. Hi Bazza, Ill phone the shop where i got the wheels and find out the offset, but just in case, is there another way to find out what offset the wheels are? Also are there any other side effects of having a lower than recommended offset? (Im not really sure what the offset is!?! -Although i have heard the term before.) Will having the arches rolled when i get it lowered help?
  19. I asked them to make the exhausts as quiet as possible, i belive the mechanic said that hed use the biggest back boxes he could to achieve this, so i think if theyre larger it can be easier to make them quieter! (but i could be wrong) I didnt notice a big difference with the change in sound especially after a week or two, and its definetly not a roaring sound like with some systems. It came to £450 for supplying and fitting, and i saw the Kazama for £275 for just the muffler! So i dont think the price difference is very much. With regards to the space issue, on second thoughts, i think they did infact cut a piece away before fitting the second exhaust whether or not it was just the 'bit that hangs down' or the whole 'plate' im not sure. Thought a a picture might help: BTW thanks Mr Singh for lowered pics i think im gonna order the TTE springs!
  20. Cheers Ted :) , -To be honest im not sure if there was anything special involved in fitting the exhausts....i asked a local exhausts company to do it. . I took a quick look underneath when they were fitting them and it looked as though there was enough room for the second one, although the back boxes were smaller than the factory one. Also, from what i could tell, it didnt take them much longer to fit mine than to do a single replacement, as some of my friends have used the same shop before. By the way i really liked the effect of changing the exhausts-definitely worth doing!
  21. Cheers for the feedback! Wasnt too sure about lowering though,am worried itll make the ride less smooth!?? (use the car for work alot!)..... Also - does it look ok lowered without a body kit?-Pics would be great. - which coilovers are best?
  22. Hi all, i joined LOC a few weeks back, just thought id post a few pics, let me know what you guys think: Audibahn amp+sub(+pioneer screen), Titan Electra rims, Custom exhausts, LED tail lights Newest addition: Hids -Thanks to Dave-prolex for fitting, nice job. :) Any suggestions for what i should do next?
