  1. iv always had excellent service from autoglass -would rate them highly for customer care. ...infact recently when they replaced my passenger window - the technician brought to my attention a small scratch in the glass and insisted on ordering a replacement which he came back and changed over for the scratched one within two days!

    Dark Blue Is

i work in chadwell heath- so am in the surrounding areas quite alot, but the cars black and i never turn on the fog lights during the day... you can hear me coming cos of the music sometimes though
  4. ....so youve finally gone public lol ...niraj has been keeping me up to date with this project..and throughout iv been thouroughly impressed with the attention to detail and commitment - well done mate!
  5. the instructions come with it but its pretty much just a matter of removing the front part of the centre console, and undoing the bolts till you remove the old one- then do the same in reverse, making sure to put the rubber and metal covers back as they were! (..let me know if you need the instructions - i might be able to dig them out :))
  6. although the exhausts are a bit over the top and the bonnet looks a lot like a doodle... ...still think it looks good because its quite subtle in only sticking to black and white for the graphics and all the outlandish bits seem to work well togeather. :shutit:
  7. was excellent popping down today - and very nice to shake hands with all the familiar names, only a shame i couldn’t make the whole weekend, as it looks like everyone had a great time…. …also good to see all the cars close up, were all looking really wicked (despite having been rained on a lot. lol) Aj :D
  8. getting a TTE kit from a write-off (acident) might be difficult as they will be rare and the accident would probably damage parts of the kit (like the intercooler for example)... your best bet will be to look for a used kit although even those are hard to come by at the moment so you may have to watch the forums or ebay and be quick to grab any that you see...or maybe try tte direct ( but its probably expensive) as for the water trouble - there has been occasions of water entering the drivers footwell fuse box from teh windscreen - but this typically affects the headlights, but it may be causing the trouble for the immobiliser too ( im not sure if theres a fuse for that there or not) - so you may want to check for a leak in the windscreen or the fuse box ie drops of water there. :)
  9. yes now its got both- infact iv even put the uprated spring in the second 'notch' (closer to the original spring) – so that holds it even more tightly closed! and its not blowing off whatsoever which makes the accelleration feels very solid. ...but as you say this could be worse?? - will probably put the uprated one back to normal and keep the original in (and see about removing it later)- but will be interesting to see how others have it.....
  10. was just wondering if any of the s/c guys can hear the blowoff sound when shifting? cos mine has been making that nice 'hisssss' lately and i discovered it was because the old spring on the bypass (not the uprated one) had come away- but iv been told its not good for the throttle/sc to leave it like that (??)... no matter how much i like the sound. ....btw the pull hasnt been that much worse with just the one spring.
  11. what time will people be hanging around till on sunday?- i should be able to come down but looks like it wont be untill late afternoon
  12. the flame motif might work if it was carried on throughout the car- and with a big bodykit and the right wheels, but i cant see the reason to break it up with the PIAA stickers and the 'lexus' on the back definetly seems too much- im afraid i agree with the masses- stickers should probably be the last mod to do to a car and even then its better to be subtle unless youve got some deal/sponsership.... :shutit: top marks for being daring tho :)
  13. this happened to me last week- i just stuck a key inside it and wiggled it around until i worked the blockage loose- turns out it was a little piece of glass from when some vandal smashed my window a few days before , if that doesnt work from the looks of it its just one bolt holding the locking part in place ;), might be worth taking it out n actually turning it upside down...of course if the light has stopped working it might be a broken mechanism.
  14. cars looking hot mate- well done :)
  15. wicked -looks like iv got the right one- cheers lads! :) ....will get them to switch it over and see how the car feels, if its uneven ill look at getting a new one /pair. :winky:
  16. thanx- any way to tell which is which, cos i have one of my old ones (not sure where the rest went!!) and our other IS has a leaking drivers one - wanna see if the one iv got is ok to use as the garage are charging me £150 for a new one for MOT.
  17. Might wanna add the S8 to that list -but the LS has to be the best all rounder of them...
  18. just a quick question are all the standard shocks on the IS the same i.e. are they different for L/R and front to rear? ( sorry if its a silly q)
  19. hi, i reckon you probably wont be able to re-upholster just the drivers side and get the cover to match the rest of the car, so if its just a matter of some small damage you might want to get it repaired - although from experience the invisible type repairs dont last indefinetly, or else you could look in a scrap yard for a replacement and the electrics should just plug straight in. :)
  20. cheers pete- i meant to say the castle not church - but now iv got a rough idea now. fidgets- i also thought the wii was a bit gimmicky and only bought it cos i found one when they were well rare, but after playing for some time it does add a non video game feel to some games -like super monkey ball for example (damer- also good fun for kids) which in single player feels more like on old fun fair game!- however for some games it does make the player feel a bit detached from the game as if your just watching...so i think time will tell, but if more games like resident evil are released i think itll be more and more effective at adding a new dimension to gameing. -will be good to see how the new mario works out.
  21. iv got this too- and iv been playing it really slowly just 'cos i dont want it to be over too quickly (and spent too much time trembling behind the couch!lol- btw im in the church any idea how much i have left? ) this is a must have for wii owners -def. one of the best games i can remember playing. in fact i went and bought the component cable just to enjoy it with best poss. graphics (and the improvement was dramatic)- i hope to see more games like this.
  22. looks like theyre trying to actively discourage attendance to this meet, just recieved this email form ace: 'It is with regret that Japanese Performance night held on 1st Tuesday of each month has been cancelled. Due to the anti social behaviour of some individuals Ace Cafe London have been left with no other option than to remove this meet from their monthly calendar. It is in your best interest not to attend the Cafe on Tuesday 7th August. Any cars already booked into the car park will now be withdrawn.'
