  1. Sounds like there may be more than one up for grabs! Id like one too...if its not at lexus dealer prices?:D
  2. Over the last few months i'v bought one or two LED exterior lights and have noticed that they haven't lasted very long! Firstly a few weeks ago i found that my LED side lights had burned out. (They appear to have blown due to the heat from the HIDs!) And yesterday i noticed that two rows of LEDs have stopped working in my LED tail lights. ...i thought these were supposed to be more hard wearing than standard bulbs! Has anyone else had trouble with these?- or is it just a coincidence! Also has anyone got a set of the LED rears they're looking to get rid of (or even better just the driver side one!)?
  3. there was a Sierra spinning donuts round the roundabout for ages... very quickly indeed. and a young Scooby driver who kept handbraking half a donut round the same roundabout... then there was a crash front end collision at around 10:35pm, but i think you guys had already left by then. Maneesh, i didn't get to say hello to you, sorry mate... :shutit: A.J your car is absolutely gorjus, well done man, you've got some good taste in design! It's one hell of a clean car!! :) In the last 4/5 months you've made some serious progress with it... keep up the good work. Ahmet, i bet your car was a little warm after the flamer interview? :D cheers mate!! Cant wait to see the finished carputer/audio project, it looked like a storm in a glove box! ...oh n sam your new additions looked very sharp! (-im just glad no one brought up my parking disaster! :yack:)
  4. V. cool mate....number 3 does look the best! :D
  5. I'm sure Zee was allowed last year. Gutted I'm too late for this now. John PM'd me but the Mrs fannied about so bloody much I couldn't get back in time. If I decide to come what are the chances of getting on the club stand? Are the tickets the same but with a stand ref written on or are the stand passes different? I can't remember from last year. Ditto, ....any chance of getting tickets on the door- and space on the club stand?! :duh:
  6. Sorry didn't mean the Niraj on here - I knew a guy at school called Niraj who I heard had a silver IS with huge subs and 19" rims Yeah must be him- but was Niral with an L! lol Had big Khan rims, but i heard he got rid of it recently for a bmw!
  7. Yeah, I smelled something like that but also a bit sulpher-like- quite strong, but it was only when i let a mate drive it the other day, and because hes used to automatics he seemed to be 'riding' the clutch alot more especially when shifting. - Ive noticed it less and less since... but wasnt sure if it was the clutch or the cat!? Hope it doesnt come back!
  8. Yeah one of my favourites is the twisty road heading from hadley wood up to enfield (I'm sure koshime will remember it well ) You're not talking about Niraj by any chance are you? :o ....No, not niraj! - dont think that guy was on the forum!
  9. Which ones in particular? :winky: Didn't realise there were so many north londoners about - I was a Habs boy myself, bringing back some memories....... :) Yeah arkley and whetstone are much nicer areas, and I'll also throw cockfosters into the mix as its also up there, but these will all be more expensive ;) ...Im sure theres some fun to be had on the roads towards Potters Bar and on to Hatfield or Enfield/Cuffley ect, although the roads do have their share of cameras - im more in to just relaxing and cruising myself though. :D Some of my mates are old habs boys!....In fact one of them used to have a Platinum IS with two massive subs in the back!
  10. ....i think i might have had something similar- what does burnt clutch smell like?
  11. (Chipping) Barnet's quite a nice area...there is the golf course, also a big library,a shopping presinct, and the hospital has been redone quite recently and is just round the corner. Some very good schools too (-Henrietta barnet and QE boys if im not mistaken!) -and other good ones in the surrounding areas (some of which i went to!) House prices may be a bit better than london too- as alot of barnet is Herfordshire. ......Also some nice country roads locally.
  12. Nice screens mate :) I've got the AVIC-X1 myself...excellent unit! Check this forum out, if you haven't already...AVIC-X1 Forum :winky: Yeah- that is a good forum! Shows how to create more interesting backgrounds ect -got some quite cool ones now!
  13. :D ...although i did find out its £80 for covers :o ...just to make sure they dont get half inched!
  14. hey dude...cheers! ...theyre connected to the Pioneer AVIC-X1R head unit which has got a CD changer- so i can play a DVD while listenening to a CD, just in case my music videos arent up to date!
  15. Theyre 6.5" wide screen (i dont think the 7" would fit)....and the cost varies depending on what you're after -best to speak to steve if you're interested.
  16. Hi, Just a quick thanks to Steve (audio x), for sorting my headrest screens....well pleased! :)
  17. Yep they do! I think the offset was ok too, but in 18's...not sure about 19's. :duh:
  18. Hi mate, I've always thought these would look wicked on a black IS (like ours!), bit different from what you were after though: Of course if you end up getting them- i will try n nick them at the next meet! :P
  19. Theyre called Titan Electras, but i heard they were recently discontinued! In fact i found out because one of mine had a flat spot and so i went and contacted the importer to get one of the last few that he had kicking around to keep as a spare! ....but i would recommend the diamond cut surface, they look quite sharp at night. :)
  20. Heres a pic (first pic posted since i got it lowered too!):
  21. Got it fitted this afternoon- quite pleased! (Btw they did drill it for the front few bolts!) Will get some pics up by the weekend. :D
  22. The screw is a 10mm thread, self tapering and the head is 10mm washer(flanged)/philips head. I recon a 10x10mm regular philps head should do. (could be wrong though! :duh: ) Can PM you a pic in the evening if u need it.
  23. Yup, thats the one! Seemed a bit pricey but thought itd be better that it was factory painted! Thats a relief! was worried it was a copy!! So are you supposed to drill??... cos if not i can see the garage's point- only two bolts on to the under tray does seem like it might be a bit flimsy!
  24. Hi guys, I have a bit of a noodle scratcher....i just bought a TTE bumper off ebay -from a guy who said he works for lexus Southend. (he was even wearing what looked like the technician t-shirt!) Anyway i took it down to the local garage but they said they could'nt fit the bumper because there is no holes on it for the bolts that hold the current bumper to the under tray!!? So i cosulted the local lexus garage and they said that holes may need to be drilled but it should go on, and so ill probably take it to them to fit now. I thought you guys might be able to shed some light on the matter? Here are some pics of it: Front Here is the corner bolt hole (and the headlamp washer) Btw it says made in germany and is stamped TTE.
