  1. my 91 import celsior has traction control is it much improved on the newer models ?? as i find this bloody good, have tried it on grass and wet round-a-bouts and it works fine, and for £1500 your into crocked mondeo money, very happy bunny !!!!!!!!!!
  2. could it be an adjuster for the delay on the door lights maybe ????
  3. hiya manicmark, could you post an e/bay link for this company as I must be thick,i cant locate it at all !! cheers. Ian
  4. Hi biggow I've pm'd you with the blokes phone number, best of luck,as previously mentioned, both parts i ordered turned up quickly and as described, hope its just a hick-up,I feel a berk for telling you now. Ian
  5. GoldfingerLS, as far as I can remember this was a blue print filter,I was told when enquiring to ask for the one with the one-way valve as the one supplied at the local shop was a Mann but without the valve,I'll contact them and see if I can get a part number as the filter carton is long gone, will post it when I find out. Ian.
  6. yes mate, how's about your credit card details, i could do with filling the celsior up with go-go juice :D :D
  7. I got mine from andrew page's ( local parts supplier ) paid about £15 for it and this had the one way valve inside the filter
  8. 27.8 ltrs /4.56 = 6.09 gallons which equates to 32.84,which is damn good for a 4ltr lump of a motor like these, but unless you have the same route with the same driver, same weather and road conditions, which is highly unlikely !! this thread will run and run. ps, mine does 43 to the gallon on the m/way at 70, ask the wife !!!!!!! how do you think i can justify the fuel costs, "honest dear its better on fuel than my old shed of an escort and look at the ride quality" and ive owned it since may and not filled it to the brim yet,the garage i use has a fifty quid limit on overnight fills, got fed up with the scroats doing a runner with full tanks !!! Ian.
  9. yes mate,I agree with lutonmatt,if the guy on e/bay is from cheshire thats who I got my bits off (rack and the CD player)and the items were as described, highly recomend him,I'll pm his e/mail address if you want it ?? Ian
  10. hiya, its opening a can of worms this is !!!! before fitting my 17's (also on 225/55/17's)my original 16's were fitted with the dunlop sports, which I thought were excellant, but as mentioned,I suppose everyone will have their favourite's. next, anyone ???
  11. I agree, but its on air,saw a gadget on flee bay in aussie that plugs into the system and gives you more control over suspension height, somthing like 12 positions in place of the standard two,but got conflicting advice about how easy it was to install so never followed it up,still keep having a peek on thw site to see if it comes down in price, worked out at £180 with postage. Ian.
  12. Welcome mate !! and enjoy the experience, ive had mine since may and still enjoy everything about it, you wont go wrong hanging around this site, the technical info is amazing.

  17. hi mate, try this link, its probably not the only place but the prices seem ok and they do ship to the uk and sell the air shocks if you wanted to go that route, does your compressor work at all or is it the shocks thats knacked !!!! Ian http://www.arnottindustries.com/parts_Lexu...400__yid46.html
  18. thanks steve ! I'll check out the web site and save for when its for renewal, thanks again. Ian.
  19. Mines a 91 celsior and it was the amazing condition that got me hooked,i had the usual probs with aircon panel ( sorted from scrapper for £15 still attached to a uk radio so that sorted out that at the same time, CD changer that refused to work £50 from a breaker in cheshire and got a steering rack at the same time, £60 - lookes like its been recond recently and mine had a weep from an end seal) done the timing belt myself as there was no history with it and thinking forward slightly got some front suspension bits from the US on the advice of the MOT tech,Ive had it since april and although ive done a few bits and pieces to her,its cost less than I would expect to spend on the equivelent 16 yr old brit tat I usually managed to get stung with, still cant get over the ride for a car thats knocking on nearly sixteen years,so like the rest,if you find rust, take a hike no matter what the price, Ian ps. anyone else with a celsior ?? who you insured with cos I jumped in with both feet due to the quick purchase and reckon mines a bit steep, £610 for a 51 year old with 7 yrs seems over the top, when my 97 UK imprezza was only £360. cheers. Ian.
  20. hi,chris you seem to know about the LS400/celsior and before I sort out the odd dash problem I need to sort the mot problems ie front suspension first, but Ive 5 months to sort it,its a 91 celsior on low miles and I love it, i'm capable with the spanner and just need a contact with any web sites you may know with the parts required,I paid next to nothing for the car as the previous owner went to lexus for a quote so owing to the condition I can blow some cash cos be-honest what can you buy thats got the reliability of this model, apart from the climate control(which I managed to sort from a scrapper, cos he didnt realise that it was a differant section to the radio)what causes the Cd changer to jack in.its got power to it but nothing happens when the CD buttons pressed on the head unit, local repaires have know idea,so any help would be greatly appreciated. yours Ian.

  23. seen this on e/bay,anyone had anything to do with them, experience of them etc or "bad press" seems a decent price,is this the way to lower a celsior on air,or is it for show rather than go, click the link. cheers Ian http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1
