I have just put xenon upgrade bulbs in mine and they are an improvement as they are higher wattage, not by much though.
I know 100 watt bulbs are illegal but if I only fit them to full beam will it pass an MOT as they normally only check they work dont they, not like the dipped when they check the direction and intensity.
Ive just bought some Halos too, any advice on fitting them. Do i really have to take the bumper off to get the lights out?
You don't have to take the bumper off to get the lights off. If you access the light from from behind by pulling back the wheel arch liner, you will see to nuts holding the cluster onto the chassis. There is also a clip you need to pop out too on the side closest to the grille be careful you don't snap this off
Xenon bulbs aren't actually supposed to be that much brighter, the higher the temperature the bluer the tint gets but also doesn't through off as much light. Just buy your self a HID kit and you will be amazed at the difference. Not road legal( unless your headlights have washers and a self leveling mechanism) but once they are more white than blue i cant see any problems from the cops

There onto us! calling you trolls!

So my comment:
So it took you 30 miles to catch up!!! 0-60 is 9.2 on the Is200, 156bhpSo you can go an extra 3mph quicker. So the Lexus is only a second slower 0-60 and sure how often do u get to go flat out doing any more than 135mph!
You cant really compare the Alfa range to anything in the Lexus range. All they are is nice looking Fiats! I know what i would prefer to be driving!
"Toyota, the best built cars in the World".
Had Alfa's as rentals twice while on holidays, problems both times. Was considering getting one of the new ones to see if the reliability was just a thing of the past, but don't think i would be willing to take the risk

Traveling to London again next week for work, decided to try stay in a more centrally located Hotel this time! So wheres the best area to stay in? ie someone that has some good, pubs, clubs etc? Working around the E1 8EE area, but this doesnt look to central. So is the West end the place to stay?

Hi Guys
Not really into the 'image' mods but the exhaust on my IS202 SE is rusty and I think dosn't look great so would like to slide over a chrome tailpipe cover to make it look a bit better.
Have any of you guys know anywhere I can purchase such a cover - or size, prices etc.
Thanks in anticipation.
this was an option extra from lexus but i think it has been discontinued. measure the pipe and my try get one to match in a local motor factors

Hi...I've just recently bought an 03 altezza. It is standard at the moment although I want to change the head lights to the dark faced ones. The next step will be either hid or angel eye's but I'm not really clued up on this. What would anyone suggest....HID, angle eye's or both? Is it worth getting both and if I go for the angel eye's option, are they easy to fit as I've just had a look at the lights and don't really see how they would. Would really appreciate any advice on this as I haven't the money to burn trying to find out......cheers
Hi ya mate well ive just fitted some HID`S (6000 kelvin ) to my dipped beam...(HB4 9006) must say they are a massive improvement at nite....better than ANY Xenon halogen upgrade bulbs.....
personally i wouldnt bother fitting Halo`s as they are really only for show..best bet for upgrade`s for lights are...
DIPPED BEAM HB4 9006 ----HID KIT (6000k)
MAIN/HIGH BEAM HB3 9005---xenon upgrade bulbs go for some (6500k) ones....
FRONT FOGS-----pre 03 ( i think?) HB4 9006......after 03 (H3) again i think....either (6000k) HID KIT or Xenon upgrade bulbs...
SIDE LIGHTS ------501 wedge shape----either Xenon upgrade OR LED`s...
just my opinion......got my HIDS from HIDS4U...and my Xenon bulbs from AUTOBULBS DIRECT...
i thought the 01 onwards altezza had Xenon lights fitted as standard, my mates one has some factory fitted ones anyway!

could a few of the RS200 owners please tell me who they are insured with as most of the companies i have spoken to dont know what an RS200 is :tsktsk:
tell them its a toyota altezza, most companies don't distinguish between the RS200/AS200 but make sure you tell them its the manual version if they ask

Hi any body know about ZEAL coilovers, any good, what are they worth.....
not heard much about them , think they are American. BC racing coilovers seem to be a popular choice over here, or HKS hypermax or BuddyClub racing spec

i think hes talking bout the standard springs, there not always the same, eg, rear left and rear right sometimes different due to the waight of the car not beening the same on both sides, they usually mark this out on springs with a colouerd dot or line or ring,
i have lowering springs in the car. the stripes im on about are on the standard shocks. sorry i havent been very clear as to what i was asking. on the standard shocks there was 3 with a purple stripe on them and one shock with a blue stripe on it. the shock with the blue stripe on it has a different part number on it.
Maybe one was replaced at some stage and the new one had a different part number. Just make sure the car is sitting at the same height on the end that has the 2 different colour stripes on the shocks ie make sure your car is at the same height drivers and passengers side front/rear

5000-5400k is the brighest/whitest if i remember correctly, this is the bulb all new cars thats have HID lights as standard use

Might have mine for sale soon:
err how soon ??
car is up for sale so if i trade it in to a garage ill take everything off i can and put the original parts back on. ie headlights, exhaust, sound system
-
no idea mate, maybe you just have a set of lowering springs

no no amps, its running off the amp bypass lead,
are you sure the 12v constant and switched(usually red and a yellow wire) coming from the HU are connected to the same ones on the amp bypass lead. i remember with my old Pioneer headunit i had to switch the red/yellow wires on the HU wiring so that the red was connected to yellow and yellow to red, if you know what i mean, they should have connectors have way down the wire you can pull apart and swap. Worth a shot

Just a quick question for ye all. i had my shocks out of my tezza this evening and noticed that 3 had purple rings around them and one had a blue ring arond it. the part numbers are different. Just wonderin what the differnce is or is there one?
Pictures would be great! no idea what your talking about, maybe they are coilovers

na i think they come standar on the legana front bumper ! they are round with a purple angle eye round it looks the damage but water seems to have broke one o these
Not sure if the angle eye bit comes like that from the factory, seen a lot of those bumpers fitted on Altezza's over here and they never had angel eyes
