I haven't downloaded the link, but I assume this is a car I know very well.
The owner's name is Martin Hadland, and he owns a car tuning company for cossies. He's quite a nice bloke actually. This is his new engine that he's spent years developing. For a long while now the YBP cossie engine has really only been able to hit the 550bhp mark. In the big world of tuning though the likes of Evos, Skylines etc were finding it so easy to get WAY above that.
Martin has brought forward the thinking and principals of the YBP engine into the new millenium, and as such has the car that you see there.
Incidentally.......you know on top gear on Sunday they were trying to break the speed record for towing a caravan? Well this car (the reyland Escort) holds the current record - 128mph - that they were trying to break. I have a video of it if you want to see it, but dont know how to upload it/post it so if anyone can help I'll do it. Oh, and it got the record in 546bhp form, a good 18months ago (maybe more!?)
Oh, ps: I know all this as I used to own one myself, and my tuner MA Developments was in big competition with Martin's company. Consequently, I always went to shoot outs, shows etc. On the face they have big rivalry, but really they all tend to show ideas to one another and discuss.
