  1. I see lots of cars lately with the black background number plates and silver lettering. I always thought that anything apart from the yellow back and whilte front was illegal. In fact any lettering including the name of the garage on the plate was strictly speaking illegal. However lately there seems to be so many cars on the road with the black plates that it got me wondering if there had been a change or are there just more cars flouting the laws these days?
  2. very good, used too live in USA red neck country and soooooooo true to life.
  3. best bet may be take it to a dealer and ask them to try one, on the pretence you going to buy a disc off them. I see no real reason why it shouldn't as the disc contains all the software as well as maps, but you never know. With most sat nav's, even fitted ones you buy a disk for the country you are travelling to, so therefore you should in theory be able to buy a disk from anywhere and it should work, but there is the danger it has to be sourced from the originating country. Therefore if it doesn't work, contact a Lexus delaer in USA for a European disk.
  4. i'd be tempted to leave it until it shows signs of rusting or fails the MOT. It may dry up over time and may be a one off.
  5. You should take it back for adjustment. Effort required to parking brake should be no more than is required for a clutch pedal.
  6. unless there is an obvious leak like through the bulbs etc that can be cured, normally it's a new unit I'm afraid.
