  1. yes you need to tell them, and unfortunatley not all insurance companies don't price in for no fault claims. At last renewal my insurance company (Allianz) put the premium up due to a no fault fully reimbursed claim. I moved to someone who didn't.
  2. Having lived in the USA and experienced the health care system and costs associated with it, we do not want it privatised. However I agree something has to be done. Far too many people are coming here for free treatment, too many people living without paying a penny into it and taking so much out of it. However there are still in my opinion some basic principles the Government could look to and focus more on providing health care rather than the money going to management of hospitals etc. It's ridiculous that we have different system across borders, so you can live one side of a boundary and get different health cover. Country has gone nuts. Not surprising we keep hearing about how Scotland have it so much better since devolution, and we have a scottish prime minister. Sooner he goes the better and we get someone in who knows what they are doing for a change. Only trouble is no one out there worth having at the moment. How about we vote for Ali G, he had some good ides for immigration. Think I might just stay here in Oz and extend my stay to a couple of years.
  3. was the number you changed it to, a personalised version of same year, with an X? Just wondering if it is to do with whether the car loses the year designation and they reserve the number, or whether it is just random. My first one was an X as well, but they kept it and put back on 3 years later.
  4. i've done it twice now and each time the car got the old plate back at the end, even years later.
  5. usually if a private car park just refuse to pay. they have to take you to a civil court and not worth their while, so they rely on the fact most just pay up. we have a local car park here owned by co-op that charge 20p. People who don't bother to pay, get a ticket and just bin it without ever getting any come back.
  6. when you come to transfer the plate to another car, the DVLA puts the old number back on the vehicle, so it all matches up for history etc.
