FYI, I've wired my amber LED eyebrows to the indicators, work pretty well Thanks to aztecbandit for taking the pic, perfect timing there!
-
I had two blank keys, took to 2 different places to cut and both failed to do it properly, it appears the pattern on my key leaves very little room for error

Ive got smoked LS430 ones pic not the best pic but you get the idea..... :winky:
Where did you get smoked LS430 indicators from?
-
I believe the TomTom One XL is just a shade under £150.
Alternatively check out the Auto Express satnav megatest
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/prod...v_megatest.html
Garmin Nuvi 200 is the best buy under £150, but I suggest going for the 200W version with bigger screen.

How much were the LS430 side repeaters guys ?
If expensive the German ones look good value.....
If I remember correctly, it's about £34ish quid for the pair direct from Lexus, and I think that's with a Gold discount. Check with Chris.S to be sure.

Lexus2D, I got a set of LS430 "real" clear side indicators on my IS, no orange blob built into the lense, you can have a look at the meet.
-
blimey, are you on commision??
i've messaged him but not had a reply as yet. sure he knows the score anyway.
I wish, doing it from the kindness of my heart :D
Just helping a friend out with his startup biz.
One more thing, anyone interested in helping me fit a grounding kit if I get it by post tomorrow?

After further investigation, it isn't the spring squeaking but more like something near the front nearside (bush?) that is causing the noise, this started after having installed TTE ARBs.
One can hear the squeaking noise when starting the car (as the car shakes), and when going thought bumps and town speeds, once on the motorway the noise goes away.
Some added grease applied to the bush but that didn't help, so thinking of replacing the bush next, any other suggestions?

Is anyone bringing like a canopy/big tent? The weather doesn't look too promising.
Anyone from south of Northampton/Milton Keynes coming to this meet? Might try to setup a convoy.
Quick reminder to those who might be interested in HIDs and LED products, Snowman can bring them to the meet (and probably install them), so please PM him if you are interested to check availability.

What kind of silicone and where from, or am I better off with tape ?
B&Q, And in Simon's words......... CHEESE
cheese???
As in American "cheesey", at least that's what I think Simon meant, but he admitted it to me later that he thought it looked good when I drove up to the garage

How you know about s/c Rob
i know about everythinbg gordon :P
I have updated my sig and the registry, I see some members have noticed!
-
don't you have s/c fitted now mate?? along with janspeed zorst and prolex i/c?? be interesting to see if that prolex i/c makes any difference at all?? i suspect the car may run slightly too lean??
I haven't seen any obvious signs the car is running lean ie. white smoke (other then the usual vapour) or funny smelling fumes, these are the symptoms I know of a a lean running car, any others I should watch out for?
Otherwise I think I'm going to need a dyno to tell me, but always open to suggestion, I'm a S/C newbie after all.

Tony,
Was going to wait till my geo check to get these fitted, but as I had to go into the garage to have some other work done I got a bit too eager and had these fitted too. Any update on when your new WIM centre will be open?
Back to my squeaking issue, is this something that needs to be looked at ASAP or can it wait a while?
-
I've recently had a set of TTE lowering springs fitted, but now whenever I go through bumps I can hear this squeaking noise from the rear of the car, is this normal as the springs settle to their intended height, or something has gone wrong?

J4 M18 Please say i wont b alone
Is anybody coming down from Doncaster/Sheffield area or heading down the general direction of M1 (or willing to detour north )? If so please setup an escort/convoy for Lexus2D.
Unfortunately Snowman and I are a bit too far down south to offer assistance.
-
Wozza u r a star :D
-
Im not sure which way iv got 2 go but would love 2 convoy with u
Where are you setting off from?
-
Are these speakers compatible with the default sound system with amp?
-
Might be worthwhile sending a PM to johnboy who is the LOC show organiser, while it might be a bit late for this year's event, might be able to work something out for next year's calender.
-
Snowman sells HID kits too, you can get in touch with him to find out the price.
-
Im fancying HIDS 4 the front but not sure what bulbs iv got in @ mo so will find out i hope when i go 2 the meet on the 24th
Been doin the back with LED`s
Snowman is selling HIDs as well as several other LED products, if you get in touch with him he might be able to sell you the necessary HID kits for dip, main and/or fog (and probably install them too on the 24th weather permitting), send him a PM and see what he can do for you.

Is type 286 the same as T5 or different?
-
Has anyone ventured into a LPG supercharged IS? If not does anyone know if it is feasible/advisable?
-
I might come along to the meet if im free ...will have to see nearer the time so no defo im affraid.....but if i do would poss meet up with the crew from northampton area? up M1....14/15
Make yourselve known if you (or anyone else coming up the M1, ie. Adie) can join the northants convoy, think Services at J15A or carpark of Holiday Inn Express/some restaurants at J15 are possible meetup places.

Thanks very much for taking the pic, next thing to try is have them wired to the sidelights and indicators, so they are on with the sidelights, and flash alternatively to the indicators when engaged..... well that's the plan anyway, how to get relays and wiring to work is beyond me.
