  1. Ive a squeaky clutch to but its fine, just down to the linkage i think. A bit of lube should solve this. You don't feel the clutch slipping or anything do you? no no, stays in gear fine! The gear linkage went on my corsa and i found it very difficult to get into 1st and the stick itself wobbled quite a bit. got it done under warrenty and problem solved, gear stick firmed up and no more fighting to get into first.
  2. will do. Im living in Yeadon now. good move from Pudsey! been out around there a couple of times and it always ends in an early finish due to :tsktsk: heads
  3. 'slippy clutch'?? is that a technical term? is it when it starts to slip out of gear??
  4. My clutch has just started squeeking and after posting in the IS200 forum, ive been told i might need to replace the clutch so, seen as how im having to dip into my pocket's, can anyone recommend a good one??
  5. Basically i think it will need the clutch replacing! i have the same on mine mate, although mine has been going for about 4 months now, havn't got the money for the clutch though New oem clutch is about the £200 mark!!!!! Jason :P £200 fitted? would it be more beneficial to get an after market one, maybe a racing one??
  6. expensive?? or is it your typical cheap part but takes forever and a day to get to the part??
  7. well the bio fuel adapter kit is needed to allow your car to run on E85, then the dyno will show you any increase in power from using a higher octane fuel(not nessesary but best way to prove actual power increase) . I dunno what the IS200 is recommended to run on but for the altezza its supposed to run on 100 Ron or higher which simply cant be gotten out of the pumps in Ireland so E85 is the best option for me i might add it to my ever growing list of things to do cheers for the info, and if anyone knows somewhere in yorkshire that can do it, would they PM me please? cheers
  8. the place in backpool isnt the guy off ebay is it?? leave him your old ones and pay a couple of hundred quid and he'll give you a set of refurbished ones!? i yell.com'd the guy in Leeds! there's loads of places around that can refurbish wheels though. ya thats the one shall i stay away? i would because he was a nasty four letter word when i called for details etc. for what he's charging and what you're getting you'll be better off trying yell. also, alot of the local guys that do wheel refurb's will let you have them any colour (if its an avenue you want to go down) when they respray them having taken them back to the metal.
  9. love my multi spokes! fav alloys are the OZ superlegra (if ive spelt it right). The new ones on the older iS200's would look amazing!
  10. the place in backpool isnt the guy off ebay is it?? leave him your old ones and pay a couple of hundred quid and he'll give you a set of refurbished ones!? i yell.com'd the guy in Leeds! there's loads of places around that can refurbish wheels though.
  11. I just jumped into my IS for the first time in a couple of days and when i pressed the clutch i heard a sqeaking noise come from outside! Does anyone know why it might be making mouse noises??
  12. How much for the kit to run on Biofuel(380 Euro) or how much to get it dyno'ed( 60 Euro) :winky: are both required to get the BHP increase??
  13. Black Sparkling alloys look fantastic (had them on my previous car which was black too) however, with the brake dust that comes off the IS's they'd just look dirty to anyone who knew about Lex's. I've just rang a place called 'Revive' in Leeds. £40 per wheel and he'll do them any colour! Thinking Gold on my Plat Ice, what do you think??
  14. cheers, could i get the setting off tony and ask TDI to do the setup to them??
  15. im in Leeds and thought it was a little too far to travel. Does anyone know of anywhere in Yorkshire thats capable of checking/changing my settings?
  16. My Altezza is a 99 when i got it dynoed in March it came out at 196.8bhp running on Unleaded 95. On decent fuel, i'd say it will be close to the factory 216bhp what did it cost to have it done?
  17. Thats just unnecessary mines been well maintained, everyone thats seen it cant believe how good it is for the money. :P got a mate who bangs on about his saxo VTR being better all the time, he's only 19 though so i just entertain him. He'll drop a :tsktsk: when i tell him about the monster!!
  18. I have a '99 S and was wondering if anyone knew what the BHP would be for it? This one may sound stupid but, will it decrease with age/wear & Tear etc.....?
  19. Stav Ok cheers Stav, Chris said he can do them for £50. most Lex dealers are doing them for £32 plus vat, so you'd save by getting from one! If you're a gold member on here though, you can get 15% off all parts! might be worth looking into if you intend on buying lots of genuine parts!!
  20. I doubt that, although i might try patenting the 'Hot Plate Wing Mirror'!!
  21. not sure its nice enough to take along to a meet! Beauty after all is in the eye of the beholder!! But if i do develope the Ballericks to go to it, then yeah, i dont mind cooking the odd burger on them.
  22. me too! best bit of money i've ever spent and ive spent what seems like an unsumountable ammount! ill be getting a temp' reading tonight but not sure how accurate it'll be as its peeeeee-ing it down in Leeds.
  23. put your hand on the mirror itself after the engine's been on for about 10 minutes, you'll soon find out! if it isnt hot, turn the rear window demister on and touch the mirror after 10 minutes again.
  24. I've reckon they are on all the time in my 220 as well, mirrors constantly covered in dried on muck over the last few weeks and I haven't used the demister once! I'm considering disconnecting them as they cause more visibility problems being constantly dirty than the odd occasion when it's cold and I might have to wipe the frost off them think ill try and locate the wire and tap it into the rear demister. depends how hard it'll be though
  25. it's only now i'verealized why i always get mucky looks from the guys at my local car wash. it's 25 degrees out and the sun is blazing, then the guy touches my mirror while cleaning the back and ends up with 3rd degree burns hope im not liable
