what type of bulbs are needed for the internal light in the centre of the ceiling and can you get them in RED?

Welcome, strathcarron blue is nice was looking at one before i comitted to my Plat Ice. IMO however, Canary Yellow is the nicest colour :winky:

They check to make sure they work as any external bulb that doesn't function should be a fail! Depends on the test center though, my sisters beetle failed on a front fog being out yet mine passed at another garage. If it were me i'd change the side lights and number plate bulbs before i took it for the MOT so i didnt have to take it back for a re-test once i'd changed then. I like what you've done though! I've never been a fan of the number plate and side light change, but the interior is great ! you should get a sports grill next (around £35 painted and inclusive of vat from Lexus) then drop a blue neon behind it, looks great when you're showing your car at night!! Keep it up, variety IS the spice of life and the more diverse the car the more variety there is on the roads, and in here! :)

There seems to be a vast amount of people on the LOC that love their 360's! Unfortunately i know only one other person that has one, and our taste in games is nothing alike, aint that right Brett. The exception to this rule being Crackdown, everone loves that in co-op mode! So, i figure (as i can't find a thread with them all listed) i'd start a topic which lists the gamer tags of anyone on here that fancys playing against people that are well, also on here and are into Lex's too (or is that Lexi???). Most of us have them in our signature but for those that dont post in here and ill edit this first post as and when they come in, that way its easy enough to find. id sing myself before listening to that! the disc plays when i do it through MP but take it to the car and stick it in the hu and no go. ive got another (my 5th of the day) disc burning now which definately has mp3's on so ill see. if not i'll just have to put up with changing cd's the old fashioned way.

its an alpine that can play mp3's! Im just missing something when im burning the songs. cancel that, they're WMA's not mp3 files and media player doesnt convert them when ripping! cheers for the help though guys

if i want to put mp3's onto a blank disc do i create an audio disc or a data one? i just cant seem to get what im recording to play in the car!

ive never done it, but would be very interested if it was straight forward fit.

Doesn't the Jap spec IS come with an oil pressure gauge in place of the MPG gauge we get on UK spec models??

i have, got the spoiler on the cheap and couldnt wait to fit it. i know it needs a kit now so it'll be my motivation to fit it

Have you tried adrien flux?? a friend just saved £300 by going with them. I have a '99 reg S with 130k on the clock and other than the battery going flat ive had no problems! Welcome to LOC too mate. i thought i was young at 23 to be driving a Lex, but you win it hands down!

they've probably been re-furbished. i was pretty impressed by the very clean engine bay, but at the same time concerned! I was always told to be wary of clean engine bays when buying old second hand cars and the deceitful seller will do it to clean up any leaks that are present.

Does anyone know how the chrome letting on the boot is held on? Is it just double sided foam stuff or does the boot have holes in it for the letters to clip into?

i know someone with a set he got when he had an IS but never fit them. He's upgraded to a GS now and i dont think he can put them on it otherwise he's have done it already. But thats not me saying they definately dont!!

I've thought of putting a little Tom Tom at the bottom of the center console next to the TRC buttons, buts because i don't have the integrated sat-nav! Can you not get an update for what you have? and is there a way of 'cleaning' the system (a kind of de-fragmenting on a PC)? I don't know the first thing about the integrated sat nav systems so sorry if my suggestion sounded thick!! Id put this thread in the .....audio,visual, electronics forum too. might get afew more reply's/suggestions. The guys who post in there really know their **** when it comes to gadgets for the Lex.

I'm not although i'm not too sure what Barryied Up means! Personally i like the style of the spoiler, i think it looks well on the car, and will look even better with a kit. I'm assuming that all you guys that say you dont like the idea of this spoiler going on the car all have a standard looking IS or have the TTE skirts all round!?!? both of these styles look great but where's the individualism!?!?
