  1. Once i've removed it from your motor, and about a week or so after it's been surgically removed from your *****
  2. Thanks for sticking up for me. :winky: but dont worry about upsetting anyone Sang i asked for opinions because they do matter but like you said, its the individuals taste and id hate to spend the cash on a kit for the car then looks the same as everyone else's. Keep the opinions flying in, just get it out of your systems before the North West Meet so i dont have to 'lay the smack down' on your asses And Brett you big Lexbien, keep your paws of my motor or you'll wake up one morning and i'd have fit one of these bad boys to your GS style
  3. make it 61, Well possibly. Can you put me down as a maybe please!? also, with regards to a flier, is there anything LOC site adminstrators have as a template that could be modified for the NW Meet I'll get intouch with my local radio stations (Radio Aire, Yorkshire Galaxy and Real Radio) and see if they're willing to do anything/mention it for free. Top job of arranging too Jamie, keep up the good work.
  4. Thats my way of thinking! It your car, so you're the one who has to look a !#@ driving it. If you can handle that then it's all good. :winky: I drove a Black Corsa with a silver bonnet for over a year for ***'s sake.
  5. Im not sure about a full wide Jap style kit, but the skirts and front & rear splitters will be a definate! Along with the larger alloys. was going to have the SE one's re-furbed but decided ill spend the cash on a new set of probably 18's (love the O.Z. superlegra & superismo's). Visibility is about as good as driving a sprinter or vito van just kidding, is not too bad acually. I've always liked the STi spoiler i did thing it was buulky myself but i think its my age thats influencing my taste with this, that and the price! There are many other things i could have saved for but i doubt i'd have found it priced at £60 again. Bret, make sure you dont look at the pic's while you're eating your Maccie D's, dont want you spraying your desk :winky:
  6. Well now, as promised here are the pictures........... ..................It's only resting on the car at the minute. and is obviously primed. But personally i think it looks alot better than i expected it to, but opinions matter!!
  7. Never thought a 'deep dish' style rim would look this good on a Jap car! Does need lowering, not sure i'd park it in that car park either if it was my car
  8. It is all opinion, but its a forum and its the best place to express them. I've seen some shots of a guy from on here that had one on his flick painted IS, and thought it looked pretty good. just wanted to see one on something coloured normally :winky: Should be going tonight to see it and measure up if it fits. I'll take some pic's though and put them on here for sure either way
  9. I've spent the last 20 minutes looking through old post's for a picture of an IS200 that has the Impreza style STi spoiler and cant find one. Brettster informs me that people have put them on their IS's but thought it looked gash. I'd like to see how it would look before i part with some cash!!
  10. Does anyone know if the FOLIATEC spray's are road legal? Its the spray you put over the outside of the light and still allows the original light colour to pass through!!
  11. push the pedal between the accelerator and clutch :winky: but seriously, let the car pull itself along in 1st gear with all the windows down (and stereo off) and listen...... you will hear an intermittent scratching type noise
  12. B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ Jun 26 2007, 12:51 PM) ← Keep saying that I will redo mine. Next time the wife needs a little job doing I shall tell her that "HER" safety is foremost in my mind and that the brakes need doing as prepping and painting the calipers is a safety measure not sure if thats devious, or genius. or would it be both in this instance!? any which way, its worth the time as rusty, dirty looking calipers should only be found on a car in a scrap yard, or the 'cars under £500' in the auto trader
  13. I never degreased mine before painting them, but i did wire brush the crap off them and wiped the copper grease from the section that would be painted. With regards smoothing the surface, its unnecessary as the Hammerite is kind of self smoothing, and no it doesn't need priming either. I would recommend lacquering once you've painted them (whether you put a little Lexus vinyl on them or not) as it gives a great finish compared to the matt finish of just Hammerite.
  14. Have you checked your tyre pressures? Mine started doing it and thats the first thing i check, just so happened i had a slow puncture. Got it repaired and £10 later it was sorted.
  15. approx 210 at the fly thats a worth while mod then!!!??? but it's still less that than a GS!
  16. that doesnt sound at all impressive! infact im quite disturbed that a car of its quality has such low bhp if its true!! that figure is at the wheels not at the flywheel - all manufacturers quote at the flywheel as its more impressive oh, those manufacturers know all the sly tricks.
  17. i agree, BLUE calipers - Silver OR black car blue car - RED calipers!?!?
  18. about 30-60 minutes per wheel. and im not sure about the gaurentee.
  19. im going to be getting my alloys refurbed at the end of the month. my cars plat ice and a couple of recent post's on the site have got me thinking about colours. i was thinking of having the raised bits and the rim done in black and the lower parts silver (normal looking colour). what do you's think this is to show the area that ill be getting in black (poor i know but couldnt find the colour scheme anywhere)
  20. the place in backpool isnt the guy off ebay is it?? leave him your old ones and pay a couple of hundred quid and he'll give you a set of refurbished ones!? i yell.com'd the guy in Leeds! there's loads of places around that can refurbish wheels though. ya thats the one shall i stay away? i would because he was a nasty four letter word when i called for details etc. for what he's charging and what you're getting you'll be better off trying yell. also, alot of the local guys that do wheel refurb's will let you have them any colour (if its an avenue you want to go down) when they respray them having taken them back to the metal. Hiya - if you don't mind a short trek to Preston speak to WheelRepairCentre - speak to Jerry or Les and say Ben from Celica-Club recommended them. www.wheelrepair.co.uk He's not far of Jct 29 of the M6 - and there's a thread showing mine being re-furbedby him earlier this year. Definitely worth the trip - and defintley avoid PX Wheels on ebay ! depending on the price ???? it might be, but i live in Leeds and it would need to be something like 25-30 quid per wheel including vat to be worth the trip!!
  21. that doesnt sound at all impressive! infact im quite disturbed that a car of its quality has such low bhp if its true!!
  22. Try living in Ilkley, its full of pensioners in the day and by night its full of chavs who come over from Leeds/Bradford! the chavs are from Yeadon and Guisley!! All the 'Westside Crew' who hang around the mcdonald's in Guisley!! you have some great places to go swimming though
  23. No thats the gearbox! :winky: Think you need to jack the car up to get to it under the car, not exactly sure where it is, will be having a go at mine over the weekend maybe could you take a pic and post it over the weekend if you do??
  24. lucky for us we have the lexus owners club!!! not sure if womens rights people would like a woman owners club
  25. quote] Ye im not saying the linkage is gone, its just gotten a bit squeaky. some grease on the linkage should sort that out i think linkage the bit under the leather gator??
