hello all. after doing this experiment i also realised the car was much livlier. but im not sureon consumption. i had filled the car to the brim on friday. and drove to london covering approx 220miles. for about 1hour we were in standstill and also heavy rain poor visibility mean doing between 40 and 60.. i then drove in london a few miles 20 or so. then drove back another 220miles. but.. i filled in £15 after about 150miles. my trip comuter was giving a tank average of 28.8 mpg..... :winky: but the £15 fill up may have thrown this a bit. next i will will the car up and if more than 69litres go in then i know i wouldnt have made 450 miles on one tank.. ill let u know also massagers and air con and cdplayer were on for all of the journey along with foglights due to poor visibility. thanks

yep you dont buy a ls for economy but if you can save money...

lol that is also true.the more miles the better how ever many. i will try it out any way. the trip comp will also read it higher as with all trip comps. were you on normal suspension or high, and if so many people are saying the same thing then it must be true; to the gs models have the switch. could ask in that section see what they say

to achieve 36 mpg you would need to get near 700 miles out of a ls tank?? what year is ure ls is it the 6speed one?

thanks for this post we are travelling to london on friday approx 220miles and back on the sunday approx 460miles altogether. our settings will be about the same so i will try this out and post back here on monday. when you said you got 36mpg. is this on the lexus trip comp or have u worked it out, and what was your average speed and is your car the facelift?

dont blaime her haha. sat nav- when you go over a certain speed the screen locks and most options are disabled. e.g you can not change a location e.t.c. there are a few. this will unlock so u can use all functions

it is only used for town driving at the moment and we can get around 380 miles to 84 litres (majority town occasional short motorway) so say around low 20`s round town. which is very acceptable. considering our 2.5v6 rov used to get 17mpg. and yes 460 is next. once prices have dropped..

so we have a Anuj and a Maneesh this is mad. by brother is called Maneesh and is spelt in the same way as the guy on here (usually Manish) back to the car.. the numberplate represent two things out surname mal... and LS which is the car.. i would really like to get the sat nav screen unlocked i have followed the instructions on this site (gs area) and there are instrucions of pressing the top left and bottom left of the screen but no luck. any ideas?? i had a quote from somebody who would unlock the screen and add freeview and also allow the drive 2 play dvd`s £100. any other ways? thanks

all i can say ive never felt like sleeping whilst in a car. it is so smooth and such an effortless car. so yes i am very happy with lexus

hello. i am new to this site. i have occasionally browsed this site but only yesterday i registered. i have wanted a Lexus for around 7 years when a cousin of mine bought a 1997 gs300 sport. he came from london to lexus liverpool to collect. and since then i did not consider any other car. after testdriving a gs450h i knew a lexus is what i would by. the only let down on the 450 was the boot which was a shame. But in november a ls430 came into lexus liverpool. and a few hours later i had put down a deposit. this is an absolute beautiful car in everyway. and i am delighted with it..
