    the strange thing is that it happens sometimes for example, yesterday i was parked in kensington city and it kept going off but then when i came back to east london and parked up it was fine!

    HI I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY IS200 ALARM, WHEN I LOCK IT UP AND THE ALARM IS ACTIVATED IT KEEPS GOING OFF FOR NO REASON? DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT, IT DOES IT SOMETIMES AND SOMETIMES IT DOESNT! CAN ANYONE HELP? THANKS

    Funny that because i have had the same problem it happens once in a nlue moon though! i have got a 2000 X reg done 111K! think it might be a common fault

    the funny thing is when i spoke to the person that is selling it, he goes it has the same remote as my current 2000 one from the sounds of it which is unusal as the newer ones are a square big black piece not the same as the small one which can be taken off the main console bit!

    thanks mate, how easy is it to swap a cd rom base to the dvd rom base? is it a straight swap in the boot the hard drive?

    thought so coz they changed it from 2001 onwards to a dvd rom base where the postcodes can be inputted! thanks

    hi just wanted to know that if the sat nav unit from a 53 plate is200 will be a "dvd rom base" or a "cd rom base" any idea people?

    i think its only 21 days before the date of expiry but you can ring any mot centre and they will tell you!

    mate you have the same sat nav system as mine, i have the latest updated cd for the cd rom base which you will need! it is still search by street name and you cannot search by postcode! only with the newer ones you can! hope that helps! if you need a updated cd PM me! mubz

    Check you throttle body, maybe the rev is not sitting right and keeps dropping which makes the car cut out! its probably to do with the throttle tho!

    OK people i just want to see who IS200 has done the most mileage and is the myths true about the IS200 doing upto 200K. So let it out, how much miles has yours done along with the year of the car? ? 2000 X reg- 111172 miles

    OK people i had done alittle something which seems to help the drainage of the battery, i had connected a wire from the + and - of the battery to the system live and - and also i am using the power and - from inside the car aswell so the power and - is coming from two outputs (hope this makes sense) this has kinda of helped the problem but i think this problem is down to not enought power to the system from the battery or anywhere in the car!

    I have replaced the battery in the car before that does not seem to slove the problem, i have a power cap attached to the amp and the reading shows 1.4 but when it is playing the power drops down to 1.2, 1.19 etc and then back up! I have a feeling that the live connection is not properly wired and therefore there is no constant power, the battery meter in the dash tends to drop down to 9 but then back up to about 9.75 (this is when the sounds or fine)! thanks

    HI people, the problem i have got is i have used a bypass cable to connect the standard is200 speakers from the lexus amp to my own system but i have another amp in the boot which is running off my system aswell, for some reason whenever the volume ait high the sounds seem to drain the battery and it starts to cut out until i rev the car up and the battery charges, this even happens when the car is running, could this be to do with the live wire not being connected properly? does anyone know what colour the Live wire is on the bypass cable and in the is200 please? thanks mubz

    have just fitted in a HID kit in my headlights and now the foglights look disgusting and do not match the colour of the headlight beam so i wanted to change the bulb in the foglights does anyone know which ones they are for example, HB3? or HB4? thanks Mubz
