  1. Just placed a thin black foam strip across where the clip sits. Test drive tommorow but it already works. Thar, theres so little room between the bpillar and seat squat im guessing all ct's will rattle without a passenger. i have a little of this foam left and quite willing to pop a bit in post foc if it helps someone out. Its black so doesent stand out and easily removed .
  2. Small things to improve. I put my remote in the centre cup holders along with odd coins . The plastic bottom isnt very lexus and the storage bin has foam, so i cut some plush foam to size and placed in bottoms, much better. noticed a little rattle on every drive thats been annoying. The culprit is the passenger seatbelt clip rubbing the hard plastic b pillar while driving. Other cts must do this?. Surprised lexus havent solutioned this. Im goin to place a thin strip of foam across the parts that rub. Simple but improved. just noticed the driver and passenger door grab handles are different too. Still finding things lol.
  3. Same findings, i moved the camera to other side of mirror away from lines in glass but not much difference.next option is to try camera in corner of windscreen or at bottom. Not ideal, but free to try.
  4. Well that was bit of a day!, glad you got it all sorted and the repair from lexus wasnt expensive. Good to know lexus assistance do what they say they will.
  5. 200h ,,,,ive set windows to beep and just locks silent. Ill just be careful with it. stormchaser,,,, not on mine ,i had it on previous cars and did use it. I think lexus changed the spec over the years. :-)
  6. Does anyone near plymouth want to use my carista customisations obd2? Have a weeks pass . Easy to use but at your own choice/ risk. Just changed some options on my new ct this morning. Check carista webpage against your vehicle to see whats available. Thanks to steve2006 for the idea :-)
  7. Haha, yes anyones welcome, it took 5mins start to finish. By not using the carista obd2 it was done for under £20. if theres a group of people close to each other it could be a very cheap thing to do.
  8. Taken me two weeks of setting up on the media screen options and dash computer to tweek things to my liking but also wanted to change some dealer only options. While my dealer would probably have helped you also get a lot of " no that cant be done " or " we will do it on the next service, or theyll charge. Plus i like to try things and change at my convienience if i dont like it. Downloaded the carista app, purchased a £12 obd2 reader off ebay ( instead of the £40 carista item) paid the in app charge of £8 for a weeks access. Connected as instructed and had a look through the customisation menus. changed a few things including one beep reverse and windows up/down on remote (had this on other dars and it suits me) and set to beep so you know youve activated windows and not just locks which ive kept silent. Found it quick and easy and simple to use . Have a week to try things out and if i decide to change things again £8 wont break the bank. digitechbuys-uk was the seller i bought the reader from and delivery was fast. you can veiw the carista site for a guide list of options to change for your car / year
  9. Different car but my ct allows me to change indicator flashes on the media screen under " setup " car customisation menu. changed mine from 3 to 5 but goes as high as 11!
  10. Ah yeah passenger, read too quick. Yeah its a low seat. Unfortunately the best options will be a cushion or a taller passenger.
  11. Hi, the seats are low in a ct. is your drivers seat adjustable? With mine right up my heads on the headliner!! I have it low though. As for folding mirrors i keep forgetting to push the button which is anniying. the electric mirror loom could be standard across models. Needs someone to see if theres a unused connector behind the panel where the switch would go. Maybe that easy but prob not lol
  12. How do people find the dab reception in their ct's ? i find it hit n miss. Some days great reception somedays all stations garbled if recieving at all.
  13. So, still finding new things. The footwell lights come on as you enter, nice. Also noticed them on but dimmer while driving , posh little touch.
  14. Hi, ive only had my ct for two weeks but can wholly recommend it. I enjoy driving mine everytime i get behind the wheel. The ride yes it can be firm but i find it suitable for my driving style. Test drive is the best way to decide. As with any car a full dealer service history is preffered. Reference the batteries. Lexus warrant them for 5yrs then on each anniversary a health check warrants them for another year. This applies up to ten years. I find it a very relaxing ,lazy drive very similar to my old 400 .
  15. Good point rayann, i am currently considering the carista obd2 so i could try it and change back if not for me myself. Checking their webpage there are so many programable options the dealer would soon get bored of me. had the car two weeks now and absolutley loving it!
  16. Just an observation that makes me smile, when braking and coming to a stop the car sounds like an elevator arriving. Haha
  17. Id say thats a good deal for yearly piece of mind.
  18. need to find a video of that scaring the bejesus outa people lol
  19. Excellent, its like stealth mode!! best thing about getting a new car thats been out a few years is people know all the answers to the newbie questions lol. been driving 20yrs + but the hybrid side of things certainly brings a new element to ownership.
  20. Thats what i thought , but you never know if you missed something . No never a/c just radio. Its only 5-10mins so ill just do that in future. Thanks.
  21. Is it possible to park the car and switch to accessory mode without powering off and back to acc?. I get to works carpark and normally just sit with radio on for a bit before leaving car. Tia
  22. Just looking around the internet theres old chat about ct's that have an audible noise to warn pedestrians the cars there in ev mode at low speed. Cant say ive noticed this and would say mines pretty quiet in ev. Did uk cars get this? Am i not listening for the right thing or can it only be heard outside the vehicle? tia.
