You can get update patches and updated firmware from www.medion.co.uk If you want to update the maps, you will need to find which mapping software you have on the device (navtec,tomtom etc) more info can be found at www.pocketgpsworld.com and you should find links to update the maps. You are correct that it will have to be connected to a pc via a cable, or you can remove the flash memory card, and use a card reader which is prefered. John

I fitted a Sony Ericsson HCB-700 car kit in my GS300... The car had a Nokia CK-7W fitted, which I removed, and still have. Both kits are less than £100, and easy to fit (only 4 wires to hook up) John -
