This weekend was our first trip out in our new SC, so we booked a nice 5 star hotel and off we go, so far so good. We arrive at the hotel and the porter gives us an under cover parking spot for our new baby. Saturday sunshine all around we think lets go for a drive with the roof down, so with SC now parked in pride of place outside the front of the hotel we hit the button to open the roof, yes you know what happened next midway through the roof opening it stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would not open and would not close !!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh very red faced and 2 hours later Lexus RAC man and the roof is working again I hope for good. That will be the last time I pose with my SC in public. Is this a one off or have other SC owners had simular moments of SC madness?

Hi If you leave your car in D while standing still you will use more fuel due to the load on the engine, petrol's not cheap. Michael :D

Hi Guy's I would like to replace the standard alloys on my new SC but keep the original tyres as the car is new and I don't want to waste a good set of tyres, I just don't like the standard SC alloys that come with the car. Anyone suggest any that suit the car but are not major brake dust traps and good quality? Thanks Michael

Does anyone know what the latest version is of the Sat /Nav DVD? I have juct picked up my new SC and the DVD is 2002 Version 1 which suggests there should at least be a 2003 Version 1 for a new 2003 car! Any ideas Thanks all Michael

Hi, New SC between 24 and 29 mpg mite get worse as right foot gets heavier and a couple of thousand miles hope not

:D Hi Guy's I picked up my new SC on Saturday and drove 350 miles back to Devon on M1 / M42 / M5 and country roads at various speeds upto 80 mph my MPG was reading 27 when I arrived home thought that was pretty good, I guess when my right foot gets heavier the mpg may drop, great car though!

:D Picked up new SC in platium ice with cream leather, had to go to Lexus Sheffield to buy it and drove her back to Devon today. I have named the sexy voiced sat/nav Lexie, car is FFFFFFFFFantastic, wish I'd bought Lexus long ago instead of wasting my money on Mercs. Smiling Michael :D

Hi Shavi Lets see some pics, we are picking up our new SC on Saturday and would like some better wheels but I am concerned it may affect the ride quality but from what you say that is not the case.

Hi I am 48 with 3 points and my wife is 38 so I thought NU were good value, I see you are in Weston, we are in Lynmouth and often drive by Weston maybe we could have a coffee sometime at the American Diner just of the M5 at Weston? what colour is your SC? are you pleased with it? we don't get ours until Saturday and are having to go all the way to Sheffield to pick it up, still the drive back I hope will be nice. Hi Guy's n Gal's I have just insured my new SC for £636.50 with Norwich Union, I had a quote from Lexus insurance £1420.00 how can Lexus justify that much more than a major company like NU? someone somewhere must have there sums wrong.

Hi Guy's I currently have sat/nav and TV as a factory fit in my family car and that allows switching between trip computer - TV - and sat/nav and imputs while on the move, I am picking up a new SC on March 1st and if that will not allow input on the move I will gladly contact Lexus jointly with you. My wife often enters new info while I am driving and it would seem daft to have to stop the car to do so. Good luck sorting it out Regards

;) Has anyone had there car treated with Diamondbite Jewelultra? my new SC is due on March 1st and the dealer has suggested I have them treat the car inside and out except for the leather seats, cost £299.00 plus vat but is it any good?
