  1. Sits there doing nothing, having 2 other cars and a van. Expensive drive way ornament. No-one is threatening legal action against you or anyone else, VOSA are dealing with Chatsworth or who ever they are for a dodgy MOT. It's up for £1k more than was paid due to £750 worth of new bits that aren't fitted. £700 Clifford alarm that's been fitted, 2 new tyres that have turned 50 odd miles. 8 or so months of RFL, yucky stickers removed, I could go on. So you don't rag your car then?
  2. No mate, they were offered in two variants - the S300 and the V300. The S300 is the same as what we call the Lexus GS300 - a normally aspirated 2JZ-GE engine, whereas the V300 is the twin turbo 2JZ-GTE engine - in fact the Supra uses the Aristo engine as we had it first They also done the Zi-Four in the MK1, with the 4 litre 1UZ-FE V8 lump, was also 4WD Nice car Yemgi :)
  3. The Aristo back end is very stable normally. You'll always have problems launching in the wet, it's 300BHP. If you're having corning issues, then it's either going to be your ARS, cheap tyres, or a bad geo set up. www.clubaristo.net
  4. 4000 rpm of expectation and 3000 rpm of orgasm I imagine. Talking of which....oooooo......arrrhhhh.......uhhhhhhh.....Sweet Jesus, that's going to be some motor
  5. I guess C l u b Aristo gets all the traffic now.
  6. Your click click click is the starter solenoid. Did the engine light come on with the VSC light?? You'll need to do a diagnostics check to get any idea of what the problem maybe related to.
  7. Nice to hear of good things. But do yourself a favour, and just ask them how the managed to undo the unbelievably tight nut, which I'm guessing will be the crank pulley nut which is meant to be that tight. If they used heat, take it back and get them to fit you a new crank pulley at their expense.
  8. You're replying to a thread which is 3 years old?? Interested to know how you can supply bushes for £50 for a set when non are available as a specific fit. There is no lower wishbone, only ball joints, which are now around £45 each for genuine Toyota and the upper wishbones are around £160 now FYI. What problems do you have with Japarts?? always found them very good.
  9. Why bother with the hassle, just buy an Aristo equipped with the 2JZ-GTE, especially at current prices.
  10. Your thinking of the recent test on 'octane booster' products, which is totally different to higher octane fuels you get from the pumps.
  11. It'll run on 95 but will lose performance as the ECU will just pull timing. Use any super unleaded for best results. Octane boosters brought from your motorist center are useless, if you want to increase your octane rating, then add some neat toulene (cant remember quantities at this time of night), but super unleaded will run fine on any tune level.
  12. Yes you have mechanical dials, i.e dials and needles not a digital read out, but every thing behind the speedo head is digital, no speedo/rev cable in sight, just lots of wires, I'll see if I can post a pic.
  13. Hi, and well done on buying a fine car :D No need to change the head gasket unless you've got a problem with it or you're taking the head off, as it is already of the metal type. Strengthened cambelts are a bit of waste of money aswell IMHO. If you want more boost, you need to decat fully, colder plugs and change the fuel pump, and go to a max of 1.2Bar You already have a dump valve, so no need to go aftermarket unless it's not holding, or you want a dump to atmosphere one. You also already have an intercooler, which is a side mount, you could go for a front mount, but for the expense at this level tune, the benefits are negligible. Do a Google search for aristo boost and see what that brings up.
  14. These should do the job http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll...p=33&fsoo=2 might want to ask the sellers advice first though, but they're all pretty much the same.
  15. I believe Thor have stopped selling their delimiters and converters. Besides the delimiter doesn't work properly on the MK1 Aristo (v model). May work on the other 2 in the range (Q and Zi-Four but hasn't been tested to my knowledge. For the TT you need the HKS T6 and if it's the MK2 you need the HKS Type 2. For kmh/mph converter, an Ebay one should suffice.
  16. No need to change dials. Just get a KPH-MPH converter so your speedo reads in MPH. What are you going to use to delimit the car??
