  4. Being a Star Trek fan too, mine is the "registration" number of the 3rd Enterprise. (well 4th if you count the one from the Series Enterprise with Scott Bakula but that one's registration was NX-01"
  5. LOL, I went the opposite direction. I sold my e90 BMW 330iA Exec for the Lexus IS250 SE A after a mere 8 months of ownership..... The main reason for going this way was to reduce power and improve petrol consumption. Here in Jhb, with it being at such high altitude, I knew that the 330 pushed 190kw and yet having such power, I never could learn my lesson and everytime I came across a Golf V GTi, I would have a robot to robot dash and always got murdered in the process...... I figured that if I subconscioulsy knew that I was in a IS250 with a mere 153kw, then I wouldn't be tempted..... So far it's worked..... Besides, at my age, it's all about the luxuries and comfort etc than power and the IS250's "standard" items far outweighed the "additional options" on a BMW.... I took a R40k knock on my back pocket with the trade and I still say it was worth it... BTW, Anees, your car looks Awesum
  6. Welcome..... Hope you have many s-miles and posts...
  7. We get 2 grades of petrol. 93 octane is currently R7-33 (using a currency convertor, it's 53p a litre) 95 octane is currently R7-47 (using a currency convertor, it's 54p a litre)
  8. The auto door locking feature was covered extensively in our none existent SA forums. Basically what was said there was, (writing from memory). Lexus had received alot of flack from people about not having the what was deemed a basic "auto lock" feature so Lexus woke up to this and all new build models have this as standard now. All vehicles prior to this build year can have it retro-fitted to their cars (here in SA, at a cost). It's not a mere software upgrade as there has to be a mechanism in the doors to actually lock them. P.S. Lexus themselves didn't actually supply the retro fit parts but they were supplied by another aftermarket company. (for the life of me, I cannot recall the name of the company) but when people here in SA went into the dealerships to get theirs done, we were then told that it would be delayed as the units were problematic.
