  1. I wanted that combination too, great minds think alike!! Don't think it's possible, as I looked everywhere too.
  2. My first service came up on mine, but cannot remember if I cleared it or the dealer, as I already had it booked in as an annual service. I didn't programme it so presume it's already programmed or the dealer does it each time? Well at least I am not going mad! It can't have been based on the calendar because the car was less than a year old when the service reminder came up.
  3. Wow - not sure if my car was from an alternate universe but it reminded me when a service was due. Each time the car was started a pop up on the Multimedia screen would appear asking me to contact Lexus Leicester (the dealer I purchased the car from) to arrange the service. You were given the option to clear or do not show again! I always used to simply clear the message on the screen and then let the dealer reset it when it went in for service. How strange - has nobody else had this on their cars????
  4. Slightly but just out of interest I wondered whether anyone took advantage of the prepaid service plans. Mine cost £1200 for six services including all wear and tear parts plus tyres. It could also be used at any Lexus dealer. Based on what Jamboo paid if I were to pay £155 for each service for the next six services this would have cost £930 (i know the service Jamboo had was minor and the major ones are more expensive) plus four new tyres (conservative estimate £120 each) I figured I was onto a winner. And that is before adding costs of brake pads, wipers etc. Plus you don't have to worry about price increases either.
  5. Quite a bit, steering wheel can be adjusted for reach and rake (up and down and in and out). The seats also have a lot of adjustment. I'm 6 foot and had no problem finding my ideal position. Then just press set and your all ready to go. Remember to set your key to your favourite position so you don't need to adjust it when it comes back from a service! Sorry just realised the above only applies to the SE-L and Sport.
  6. I started this thread because I was concerned with the numbers of complaints about the new IS that I seemed to be reading about after a brief absence from the forum. I should have mentioned that while I had my IS250 I had no rattles, mirror vibration (other than when playing music REALLY loudly) or other associated problems and mine was one of the early ones purchased in Dec 2005. I know there are others out there with IS250 and 220s that are in the same boat who have cars that they are very pleased with. I think those that have had unsatisfactory cars have just been unlucky. I also think that with the output of Lexus increasing significantly that this has had a negative effect both on the quality of the car and to some extent on the dealerships (based purely on what other people are saying). I was very pleased with both my IS and the dealer, in fact I bought my new SC from them, making the numbers of cars purchased from them now totalling three. Just out of interest I was driving down the motorway today top down, windows down, music on very loud and doing slightly over the limit ( ) and there was zero vibration from the rear view mirror. This car is a dream!
  7. Did you order the MultiMedia system and did you get a good deal??
  8. Rain sensing wipers HID headlamps Electric steering wheel Memory for front seats, mirrors, steering wheel Parking sensors Yes all these really make it a luxury car. So when does it arrive then??
  9. Sarcastic?? Moi?? how could you? He asked for advice so I said what I believed, Lexus should never have put that Avensis diesel engine in the IS body. Sorry if it upsets the diesel brigade, but I'm only expressing my opinion based on driving one and reading the numerous posts on this forum. No you are right but even so let us be a little gentler with our new members eh?
  10. Good choice - go for the best - you're worth it! :winky: Just out of interest what made you go for the SE-L over the SE?
