  2. Thanks all-butstill cannot find a photo of where the amp is situated-and sir john there is no fear of my filling the boot with other subs-the standard one is more than enough (when it was working!). Hi On the Mk3 the Amp is definitely under the drivers seat Move the seat fully forward and you will see the amp cover, using a stanley blade remove the 2 X screw caps then remove the 2 x screws and then you will see the amp and its loom connectors. I break quite a few of these - so if your amp is faulty let me know Thanks Maurice 07957 530340

  4. Hi Need a Mk2 93 - 94 Ls400 Drivers wing in Green/black Thanks
  5. Hi I have watched your posting with interest unfortunately , you and the guys on here have covered most points I don't think its the crank sensor - as its failure normally results in no spark Even though you have cleaned the Throttle body - it still may have a blockage, and tends not to respond well to dismantling and re assembly Plus the TPS sensors may be faulty The Airflow meter is my guess or the complete Throttle Body with TPS sensors still attached. The Engine Ecu have been known to play up , and it is known that some had a bug in them causing running issues including intermittent cutting out. Sorry cant be of more help Maurice
  6. Hi I have broken many of the Ls400s Much of the front suspension is the same on the Mk3s and 4s 95 - 2000 UCF20 The lower suspension arms that are attached to the bottom ball joint and front subframe are exactly the same for both Mk3s and 4s Hope This helps benfur

  12. Hi Sir John The fronts are relatively straight forward - But the rears are difficult You have to remove the rear shock absorber - partial removal of back seat side trims and rear parcel shelf to access strut bolts Then apply loads of WD40 to the 3 x control arm securing nuts and bolts Start with the upper nuts and bolts first - use a 19mm spanner to the outer nuts and a very strong 19mm socket to the inner bolts - if you have access to an air gun then they will release relatively easy - If not use a breaker bar + add a long strong tube to the end. Then probably the hardest part - you need to undo the ball joint nut securing the arm to the hub - be very careful not to round this nut off ! Use a 19mm ring spanner or a ratchet spanner, it is on tight so use plenty of WD40 and take your time. When you have the nut off - you need to hit the sides of the hub [ near the ball joint ] with a hammer to shock release the joint. In some cases it may be easier to remove the drive shafts - but again these can be on solid also Hope this helps and Good Luck Benfur
