  4. Hi guys, i took my front pads out yesrerday to give them a clean and put coppersilp on them, as they were making that clunking noise AGAIN. When i took the inside pad out ( one at rear of caliper) i noticed the top clip that holds the pad into the caliper was actually attached to the pad with, what looks like a kind of pot rivet. Is this the way its suppose to be ? I thought the clips was seperate from the pad and should go into the caliper ?
  5. HERES a link that shows you how to.

  7. This one looks the part and also a very good price.
  8. Try using another lighter from another car, if it gets hot then its your lighter, if not then its the socket itself.
  9. Hi guys, how much coolant would it take to fill the expansion tank behind the radiator. My radiator is full but tank is nearly empty. Would 1 ltr do or would i have to get the 5ltr one. Been looking around for the long life coolant and the only place i can see selling it is japparts @ £8.98 per ltr or £19.98 for 5ltr's delivered. Is their anywhere else apart from Toyota/Lexus you can buy it cheaper ? Thanks __________________

  18. Not as hot as this one mate. I actually got a blister on my finger touching it. The caliper was really hot aswell. When i jacked the car up the wheel wouldnt turn freely.
  19. Just banged it back in mate. Was too scared to try anything else Just need to get it bled and it's all good i hope. Anyway im off to the gym to get rid of some of this stresssssssss Thanks for your advise Nick. Much appreciated mate.
  20. I think ive solved the problem. Went a wee run and passenger disc is not any hotter than the drivers side, both calipers are cold where as yesterday the calpiper was roasting. The only thing is, my brake pedal is very spongie and i have to press the brake alot harder than before. When i asked the question about the bleeding nipple i had already loosened it so will i have to bleed the brakes now ?
  21. Managed to get the pistons back in mate. But it's still rubbing when i brake, pistons not going back in. My MOT is due on Friday so i may just get the guy to do the piston whilst its in.
