i wasnt referring to the mot. just simply the law. Any car fitted with HID lights must have self washing lights. Its also illegal to fit HID bulbs in a casing designed for Halogen.

Why do you need headlamp washers with HID's its a legal requirment. If you dont have self leveling lights and light washers your breaking the law by driving with HID's

mine are 6000K i dont think his are more than that, i'd of noticed the blue. I was just trying to figure out how police would know who to pull, maybe they were told pull all older cheaper cars?

Hiya guys. My mate drives a X reg corsa and fitted some HID's. Within 2 weeks was pulled and told to remove them as not legal, he was told the police have been told to keep on the lookout. I have had mine in a few months and drove past many police without an issue. Do you think thus is because the Lex looks like a car that would have them as standard and therefore they leave us alone?

i think that one comes with the transponder, would be why its more expensive

i guess it just depends on individual taste. i like things that feel expensive, with a little weight. But this does feel cheap and tacky and the spring mechanism is a lil well cheap and tacky lol. For the record i will use this as my main key as still looks ok, just wont let anyone examine it. oh and another negative, i want the lexus symbol on my key!?

ha ha ok maybe not call them names, but if the police are alerted to the position of the car, hopefully by the time you have cut the fuel and they have escaped the car, the police should be there waiting

or get the alarm im ordering, less than £200 notes. when the car is driving away, simply phone your car, call them a bunch of ******s through the speakers, then press a button on your phone and cut the fuel and lock the doors and informs the police!

i got the same one off ebay couple days ago and have swapped the guts. I have to say im not really impressed. there very light, and the plastic feels quite cheap, and its quite chunky. Certainly not the type of key you would expect from driving a lexus. It is pretty cool that its a flip key, but im gonna continue to search for one thats better made and has a more expensive/luxury feel to it. My friend wanted me to order 2 as he wanted one but i only ordered mine, now he's looked at mine he no longer wants one!..
