i have seen knocking about these dash trays for is200's that havent got the satnav built in? anyone got one or knows where i can pick one up for on the cheap?
yeh stav off your instructions. i agree it doesnt look bright enough but im really not confident enough to do the drilling and soldering one.
and andy, how careful are are we talking? i was all up for it until i read that lol
the instructions i was given was to order 3 neo-wedge type A leds and 3 type B from auto illumination, save having to remove the bulbs. can send you the link if you want
im a little disappointed the IS doenst have footwell lights, many of my previous cars have had the holders for them but never had bulbs in, so i only found out from reading the forums. first thing i did when i brought this car was look for the space and was surprised to learn there aren't any.
me again, im selling the original 16s that came with my is200s on ebay, new tyres on em, how much you reckon i should get?
also a guy has asked my to deliver to london which is 122 miles from me, how you reckon in petrol that gonna cost? 250 miles?
cheers for your help, i think i got confused cus there were so many bulbs. i'll have another go.
one of the replys say dont buy the led's with 4 little leds on em. i typed into ebay inverted wide angle led and those are the ones that came up. are they gonna be crap?
more thing sorry, what bulb is it for the ignition ring?
ok, i thought this whole LED changing would be a peace of cake but either im doin it wrong or there is more to it that i thought.
i took off the outer casing of the dash
then unscrewed the display unit and unplugged
then opened the unit (took the clear case off)
then took all the screws out from the back
got the dials out of the casing but still no sign of led's
how much more do i have to take this bad boy apart?
What you guys think? I seen those kits on ebay to change the dash leds and ignition ring from orange to electric blue.
do you think it would spoil the lexus look or look pretty cool?
Hi DimitrisTS and the rest
Thanks for the info and u have been very very helpful. Another quick question WHERE THE HELL WILL I PLACE THE IPOD SO THAT I CAN SEE WHAT AM PLAYING....i have ran out of ideas...SHARE SOME WITH ME PLEASE....watever the case even if it is modification
do you want to see it permanantly or just when your unsure of the song? look 2 posts up, mines in the compartment by the handbrake
Hi All.
Im Phil, 26 from midlands. Single n no kids (cant afford em driving a lexus!!)
Had lexus 1 month now, love it. 51 is200s 60000k.
looking to spend lots to get it just right, so far new wheels, HID's and the grom!
got the sony ericsson, technically it an amazing phone. In reality mine is crap. Freezes every 5 mins, resets itself all the time, and then takes 10 mins to come back on. really annoys me!
its a bit of a pain, i was thinking that with the desktop dock, people might not realise what it is, could look like a fancy air freshener lol. would look good too if it was fixed in place so you could just slide the sat nav into place. tis a tough decision lol
i do agree with that, and it really winds me up that i have to think about that. im trying to think of the best way of doing it. i dont like the idea of sticking to the window, unless i clean the window everytime i get out as thieves look for the sticky ring too,
cheers mate, if you could that would be great, a was thinking about screwing the desktop docking thing to the shelf, then when i want to use the sat nav, it just slots in.
