  1. Well, if you're fully comp on that vehicle, the insurance should pay out. If you have 3rd party insurance, or you have Fully comp on another car and your driving the is200, then no monies/courtersy car for you. Iain
  2. Well cant really moan mate, you were speeding! At least you got the option of going on an awareness course, which is something the majority of people dont get offered, they just get their 3 points! But i do get your point, 37mph aint exactly 55mph Iain
  3. I noticed that there isnt a proper address for the company, and the contact number is a mobile phone.... Id Stay well clear if I was you. Iain
  4. South Woodford (east london near essex) Drive an IS200 SE. Anyone nearby? :) Iain
  5. Mine didnt open properly, found that one of the bar things at top inside the boot had popped out of its bracket, popped it back in and it started opening again fully with the remote. Might be worth looking to see if that has happened. Iain
  6. I adjusted my brakes today as my handbrake is rediculously high. At the hubs, it didnt need any adjusting, couple of clicks and the handbrake was engaged, so moved it back a click. This had no effect on how high the lever is now. Would it be a case of tightening it up at the lever end now? Chars! Iain EDIT: I got bored and fiddled with the handbrake, alot better now its adjusted at the lever end.
  7. Same, i put magnatec 10w 40 in. Cars done 79k miles now. Iain
  8. I just managed to get mine off today.... well a friend did. Weve been working on it for 2 days. Nothing would work. Tried a chain, a belt, a clamp even a screwdriver, was completely seized. We took of the spash guard and a crossmember bar thingy and then even then took a long time. Here are some pics of what we got off. Put lots of oil over the seals on the new one and put it on. I get the feeling the old one didnt have any on. Iain
  9. Hi peeps, After a small wall jumped out at me when i was reversing causing my rear bumper to get seriously scraped and knocked, ive ordered a ready painted bumper which has the holes for rear parking sensors. ive got a 99 is200 without any sensors, so instead of having some nasty holes, do you recon These will fit? Or any advice really! :) Iain
  10. The 10 years applies to the photo, you need a new photo after 10 years (cos apparently you get older n stuff). Thats why when you change your address or get another Cat added on, the date of expiry stays the same and it looks like you only have a few years left. Iain
  11. hmm i kinda like the wheels, they just the standard 17" with the middle bits painted black?
  12. yeah saw that, but kinda after one without any damage to it. Got a quote to repair my bumper and it was £200. Thats a bit rich for my blood. ill keep my eyes open, see what pops up. might just get one with a little bit of damage, at least it aint almost hanging off. But i know id only regret it having to see the damage every day :( Iain
  13. looking around but no joy as yet, but still early days! cheers Iain
  14. As title says Looking for a silver rear bumper for my IS200 without scratches or flaking. Wall jumped out an hit me :( Iain
  15. cool thats what i was thinking, thanks for the reply! Might combat that pesky oil filter again and see if i can give it an oil change lol :P Iain
  16. Popped into lexus to get a price for my service later in the year. They are quoting me £540 for the pleasure, that doesnt include any belts changed, cos that would be over £1000. Do people use an independant garage, and if so, what sort of price should i be expecting. What they told me is pretty much all the oils changed and thats it. Cheers Iain
  17. im 27, only got my licence last year and im paying £1200 with LV. Am in the east end tho. Iain
  18. Locked a previous glove box up and some a** just wrecked it with a screwdriver :( If someone wants in they can break it pretty easily. Best to not leave anything valueable in there and unlocked in my opinion. Iain
  19. ive had mine at redline in 6th, so whatever that is, couple under 140mph Iain
  20. Put it on and found the original gaskets did not fit, one of the conectors was one where the tube went inside the next one. I ordered some HKS 65mm gaskets which fit the back box perfectly, but were too small for the Cat end as the bolt holes in the gasket were too close together. Anyone know what sort of gasket fit? thinking a 70mm but will the bolt holes be futher appart or would it just be the bore? Cheers Iain
  21. bleh tried getting at mine today, pain the the a**. recon i could just change the oil (last service 6 months ago) and leave the filter to the next service? or would it be pointless? Cheers Iain
  22. yup, my engine ticks too, gonna give it an oil change next week. Not sure whats in it atm might put some 10-40 in it. Iain
  23. gonna put my blueflame on tomorrow, will upload a clip for you if it all works out :) Iain
  24. Ive got a blue flame sitting next to me right now in my living room, just waiting for a trolly jack and some stands to be delivered and ill whack it on (thats the plan, will probably take me about a week) :D Iain
