  1. Ive heard if you jailbreak your phone you can get all manner of free apps... apparently, although i dont condone that. But if there was a wifi obd scanner, id snap it up. They're all a bit pricey tho. All around £200 Iain
  2. Yeah doesnt affect the Lexus. I remember when i first got my is200 and the mat stuck on the accellerator, went thru a redlight before i hit the clutch with the revs bouncing off the limiter. Scared the crap outta me, no mat for me after that :P Iain
  3. Yeah mine gets uncomfortably hot, think there might be a bit of a problem there.. Iain
  4. theres should be a hole at the begining of that pipe, there was on my blueflame Iain
  5. my powersteering belt is slipping in the cold now. When i came back from work with a hot engine tho, had not problem parking in the space. Im gonna wait till it warms up a bit to see if it still wants to do that. Iain
  6. Im gonna keep it till it dies. Which hopefully will be a while yet. Ive got a 99 version, so its getting on, not really worth too much and im more than happy with it. Iain
  7. Got a kit off ebay today, looks a bit complicated, but ill have another go when i got more time. Iain Woop woop! plugged them in, they look great, went for the 6000k. now to regrow some skin on my knuckles from the near side front lamp. Iain
  8. Nope, parking your car is still driving. Even moving it a foot is still driving. 6 points +£200 find and probably your car seized with operation reclaim. Iain
  9. I got one of them for sale in the Buy/Sell section. It has the small connector at the back tho, so wont fit 1st gen of stereos, only the latter ones. Balsca
  10. Does the is200 have fan belts? thought they were electric? Also my powersteering has started to screech at full lock in the winter.
  11. Ill highjack this a little bit, ive only heard good things about HID but would it pass an MOT and will it blind other road users? Iain
  12. Yeah ive seen is300 unmarked ones. And being in the game, i wouldnt touch em :P Balsca
  13. Hi guys, ive just bought and installed a JVC avx-810 and a facia/bypass Lead Ive installed it all and its working well (just need to get a proper fitting surround for the edges) The only problem is, it saves the radio channels alright, but none of the settings, so it returns to demo mode and the annoying proximity sensor. Im guessing this is because it does not have a permament live wire connected to it. Anyone had experiance of this and can offer advice? Chars! Iain ****UPDATE**** found the Yellow wire was connected to the red, changed it now its working beautiful
  14. They're usually dodgy mate, Would you buy a car over the phone without seeing it? Best way is, unless someone gives you a wedge of cash for the car dont do it. In a week he'll probably say he'll give you an extra £2k for the car, and can you pay his mate who will collect the car for him out of that. Iain
  15. My 200 needs a little bit more power... Think this will fit? :D Iain
  16. I found out the hard way that the cabin light doesnt go off when you lock the car up. Came back a couple of days later and found the bat had 3v on it. Wouldnt even turn a light on the dash:p Fun fun! Iain
  17. Hi guys, i bought a Xcarlink thingy off ebay for cheaps, The only thing with it, it has a small toyota connection, where as my stereo has the large version. Anyone know if you can buy an adaptor for new to old? Bit of a long shot but meh! Cheers Iain
  18. The gaskets for the blue flame exhaust were different to the OEM exhaust gaskets. And they were different sizes. Hmm cant remember the sizes tho! :P
  19. Ive just orderd these... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=250485518848 Ive just noticed in the picture that theres only one rubber mount thingy on it, do i need to get another one? if so any ideas what they are called and where i can get them? Chars! Iain
  20. Yeah i wouldnt get any work carried out at places like that, I just went there cos the MOT was £27. Id imagine it would be about £100 to put them on, but i like the idea of doing them myself, could really do with not spending £100, Its insurance renewal time, and got a bloody parking ticket! Might check out halfrauds tomorrow for a joint splitter (almost put ball splitter - ouch) and a breaker bar and do it myself! Quck Question, my Steering has started feeling heavy i think (could be cos my new fiesta is so light) could this be why? Iain
  21. Well went to nationwide autocentre with confidence that it would pass! Lower ball joint has too much play apparently :( Ive not noticed any knocking or anything but oh hum. Bit wary about how much they didnt want to give my car back tho :P They quoted me £200 to change the it and tracking, and £150 if i wanted the other one done. Seems a bit steep to me so ive ordered a couple for £50 a piece. Pretty sure i can get another garage to fit them cheap. Anyway, came home feeling all moody to find that I got my gold membership thru the post today :) Gonna put some stickers on tomorrow :) Iain
  22. Sorry, nothing personal but I Just saw you drove a golf GTi and naturally assumed that you were a drug dealer! J/K!!! Iain
  23. Well if your mother is insured fully comp and you are a named driver it shouldnt be a problem. Let your insurance company know, if the car is a write off, then they should pay out how much they think they car is worth . Iain
