My fuel economy has dropped through the floor also i have been getting 24-26 on the M5 run i do 4x's a week it's now 18!!!! but i know this is due to the fact im using heated seats/ window demister/air con and the weather of course. -
I would guess its the air recirculation feature on the air con which helps get the car cooler in the summer as it's reusing the air from inside the car rather than cooling warm air from out side. Its usefull but not absolutly needed i find it dries the air out to much and it makes me have a dry throat, so i never use it.
