  1. Providing no one needs me to work i will come, would be good to meet, and put faces to the names and cars.
  2. think i ended up paying £198 Well it would be worth me driving to the northwest to get my servicing done at those prices. It must be the Cheltenham factor i guess but that is a hell of a difference oh hum
  3. lexus cheltenham quoted 60 + vat for mine so its a good price and he does an excellent job.
  4. Main dealer charge was £800 for 80k service but they quoted me the old charge which was £470 and they stood by that figure much to my relief. It would be worth checking with your local Toyota dealer as they will use oem parts and after all it is a toyota
  5. The washer jets are not heated. but that is it everything else is fabulous.
  6. So what you saying mate, that you have a Knob that you dont know what to do with it Now thats funny
  7. Sadly for me the snow button seems to make no diference whatsoever to my mpg the needle remains in the same position regardless, thankfully the cost of fuel is going down so that helps me. Pherhaps it makes more of a difference on the 200's and not the 300's.
  8. Someone once said "a married man without a hobby is having an affair" but seriously its about priorities after 19 years of marriage my wife is very pleased for me to be out of the way lol
  9. lexus cheltenham have a white isf for sale i just go and look at it sometimes i like to torture myself!
  10. Which bit are you arsing at mate Lol was going to convert the headlamps in my MR2 but not so sure now!
  11. slighty i know but just read this! Beginning in the early 1990s, HID lamps have been employed in motor vehicle headlamps. This application has met with mixed responses from motorists, who appreciate the improved nighttime visibility from HID headlamps but object to the glare they can cause. Internationalized European vehicle regulations require such headlamps to be equipped with lens cleaners and an automatic self-leveling system to keep the beams aimed correctly regardless of vehicle load and attitude, but no such devices are required in North America, where inherently more glaring beam patterns are also permitted. Retrofitting HID bulbs in headlamps not originally designed to accept them results in extremely high levels of glare, and is illegal throughout most of the world.[2] on wikipedia. arse!
  12. Cool thanks for that, some investigating required me thinks but i know it can be done so that's a start
  13. Pressing the loud pedal in mine (80/90 mph) i get 17 to the gallon, at a steady 65 i get 27 ish i am a tortoise lol.
  14. Thanks for the reply they look very cool, was it a special made system or "of the shelf" and where did you get them. also the tyres on your car what make are they? sorry to bombard you with questions many thanks.
  15. Is it possible to fit a dual exhaust system to the sportcross, has any one done it? if so are there any pitfalls i should look out for.
  16. I wish i could fill up once a month but alas i fill the sportcross twice a week so hoping it comes down to that price here in the southwest which i might add is closer to the refinery and should be cheaper (grrrr petrol companies). Allthough i do get 26 mpg on my 780 miles aweek so i should not complain!!!!!
  17. My pennies worth lol. I have had both of these cars while mine has been in for service, the diesel is dire having had a jaguar x 2.0d previously it does not compare to that for mpg or real world performance, the gearbox is awfuly notchy and a real pain in stop start traffic it bogs down when going from 1st to 2nd.The dealership i use recommend the 250 over the 220 because they feel it is a much better car, i would have to agree allthough my sportcross is far superior lol.
  18. From one newbie to another hello.
  19. I appologise in advance if this is covered allready or in the wrong place (have looked but alas i am a numpty) 1, Does any one know what the OEM HID bulb is ie 4000k 6000k or 8000k. 2, Do lexus as standard on 3.0 litre engines use fully synthetic oil (this was used on my service even got a free 1 ltr can and smart pouch to boot). 3, I see the letters TRD used often about various styling bits and bobs do the have a web site. Many thanks for any help you can profer. Glenn
