  1. I may only get a back box trim as I am not after performance improvements. Looks like the tail pipe has fallen off on mine, with it's black back box !
  2. Guys I'm interested in getting a Blueflame exhaust via Ebay : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...sid=p2759.l1259 But I was wondering if anyone was interested in the centre section as I probably won't be using it. I'm after a deep tone rather than screamer ! Looking at the HKS Silent Hi Power - but this might be too quite ? Bang for buck, the Blueflame looks good. Whitey
  3. My next property needs a nice, heated, garage :)
  4. Are the comments about bodyshops not liking Colour Magic true ? I'd assume a bodyshop would prepare a surface first before having to spray/fill it ? Reason I ask, is that I have a cupboard full or Meguires, but we still use black colourmagic on the two Mercedes we have in blue/black metallic and they come out a treat and repel water for a long time ? Chris
  5. oops, yeah, get what you mean now, doh !
  6. I take it I might get away with them ? Thanks
  7. What's a TRD kit ? I've got an Aero or 'Signature' kit I believe . . . Won't the Lexus OEM flaps fit in my case ?
  8. Guys As much as I love seeing settled snow, kids laughing, parents skidding about I hate snowball fights and the damage left on the car. Seems I've picked up a LOT of scratches from peeps gathering snow - nothing major, but a pain in the arse. Worse thing is I've noticed a dent on the roof, hopefully get that sorted though. My heart goes out to those that got more severe damage from other road users also - I was lucky enough to use my old car until tomorrow when the new owner picks it up. Whitey
  9. Guys Does anyone else here a distinct high pitch, almost electrical, squeel when revving the engine about 5k rpm on kickdown ? I don't think it's anything wrong, just an observation ! Thanks Chris
  10. I've been quoted £1080 for the 60k service. Not even sure if that included the waterpump ! Chris
  11. Well . . . mine is going into Lexus (together with a list of other things) to be made 'silent' under a warranty. I've asked for this in writing, as it could be a lengthy process it seems ! The technician I was chatting to today said it could be the pads, as said previously, but I can feel it too well to be that ? Chris
  12. What do you reckon ? lol I thought they had taken the dash apart to remove the lamp temporarily. This morning, the light was happily flashing away - at the moment it is off, lol. They have a new seat cushion on order.
  13. Pleased with dealer response. Indeed there will be a smart repair done and if unsuccessful a new trim parts. This will take place on the 17th March as I need a loan car and they are booked till then. I'm happy at the moment as there is no rush and they are going to track the car for me again tomorrow for free (it just had a new front shock). Thanks for the comment.
  14. lol - I had thought of that, but I am tied into the finance to a degree. I love the car also. Things are good at the moment, let's hope it stays that way. Regarding the sensors, maybe I should do them myself at this rate !
  15. Bare in mind I picked it up at 6pm, so it was dark - so I happily drove off. At first I saw a little nick to the dash next to the warning light "oh well, it is a fiddly job" but when I looked further down I was appalled. I rang the dealer straight away and was told to have a look in daylight. Either way, it's damaged now and wasn't before. I'll keep you posted, but I think things will get sorted. I don't fancy a new dash, maybe more harm than good ie. rattles more scratched etc. Might push for front/rear parking sensors fitting/discount as I enquired about them from the off. Only upside is that they gave me a badge for my grille for free, lol.
  16. Guys Think of this scenario : I give my car in to have a seat belt warning light investigated. I get the car back with damage to the interior around the headunit/climate controls where they have taken them out without too much care. The surround was mint before hand and now has marks down both sides :( I've dismantled the centre console myself, to remove a phone cradle - it's not hard. What would you expect as compensation/resolution ? To top it off, they haven't fixed the problem yet, just taken out the lamp. The dealership is first rate at the moment, just it seems the service side is not so good. Cheers Chris
  17. Hi guys Loving my new IS, hating reverse parking, lol ! I've done a search, but could find anything relating to Parking Dynamics : http://www.parkingdynamics.co.uk/ Anyone read/heard/experienced this type of kit ? Be nice to have it front and rear - just because I could ! Thanks Chris
  18. Hi there Vista loads up programs into memory that is 'thinks/predicts' you are going to use whilst booting up - think this is called Prefetch. Does it run ok once up and running ? Chris

    Hello

Haven't looked at the badges properly yet - will do when I give the paintwork a good going over when it warms up a bit ! I'm already tempted to get the alloys smoke chromed, but it's early days yet !

    Hello

Thanks for the warm welcome. Just come back from taking a sneaky look at the car again at 5 mins to closing - they were nice enough to get the keys out of the safe for me ! Still love it. Colour, wheels, quality - excited all over again ! I'll get some pics in due course :) Whitey

    Hello

Hi guys, I've just signed on the dotted line for a 2004 IS 300 with Aero/Signature styling. It's getting it service + cambelt done and I'm hoping to have it by the end of the week :) My name is Chris, 25, from Surrey area. Buying the car from the nice people at Twickenham Lexus. Looking forward to future meets/WIMs or whatever ! Thanks Whitey
