  1. Don't think it's anything that any of us have done to our registry or cookies, I believe that there is someone :tsktsk: (webmaster?) who is of the opinion that he knows best and has decided to change the web page display for us, like it or not
  2. Quack Quack Achoo, Oh no now I've got bird flu
  3. Oink Oink Achoo, That's it Iv'e got swine flu now
  4. A few weeks ago I wanted to fit a bar across the rear bumper of my RX400h, I contacted 3 Lexus Dealers who all said it couldn't be done, as the bar I was looking at was designed for the RX300. The dealers agreed that the chassis for the RX300 and mine the RX400h were different, BUT if I wanted to fit a towbar that was fine and it was the same as the RX300 ????????? they couldn't explain that one I obtained an agreement with the supplier that if it didn't fit then he would give me a full refund, I ordered it and IT FITTED. They told you it was not advisable, did they explain as to why? The moral of this story is, don't believe everything that people tell you, even Lexus dealers. Tony
  5. Yep, you got me, sod For that I hope they keep the Lexy for a week and give you a '89 Corsa
  6. That sounds more like the reason for it, the Yanks have to be different don't they! Boot - Trunk; Bonnet - Hood; now Sunroof - Moonroof. Ta Steviewevie :)
  7. Good explanation. Just that all the cars I've had over the years (there are many) that have had 'an opening in the roof' which has been made of glass has been refered to as a 'Sunroof', Moonroof was a new one to me, but thanks for the idea.
  8. Prefer the A/C. But why do Lexus call mine a 'Moonroof'??
  9. Had a similar problem on Friday. Slackening off the wheel nuts to gain access to my calipers, to find that the locking nut was seized, not able to budge it I drove down to a friend who runs a tyre shop and with ease he slackened it. Hate to think what would have happened if I'd had a flat. My advice is CHECK YOUR NUTS
  10. Sorry, didn't read until 16.45 so missed your deadline. I would have said go for the Goodyears.
  11. Anyone know how long it takes Google to upload the data for us to see?? :winky:
  12. Yea, but you can't go to Brighton in your washing machine now can you??
  13. I didn't see the side or rear stickers, but not saying they weren't there as it was the cameras that caught my attention, but those looked like the camera set-up, and it was an Astra type of car. All I need to do now is wait, and wait, and possibly wait.
  14. I think I have just been Googled. Out there in the sunshine, washing the car and what should drive past but a car with cameras on top. Not sure if it was the Google car or SatNav, what is the difference anyone know?
  15. I want to gain access to the wiring of the rear power point which is part of the Parcel Shelf slide situated on the near side of the boot. In order to remove the slide I have removed the three screws (1x behind the interier light and one at either end) but the piece still remains fixed. What else is holding it on? I don't want to damage it obviously.
  16. Also 250. Now time for a kip. 225 not the worst lol That's better 207.
  17. After asking a couple of Lexus Dealers if it would fit, and getting the reply 'No' I contacted the seller and he agreed that if it didn't he would collect and give me a full refund. Got it delivered and it fitted without a hitch. It justs goes to show the Dealers don't know everything. I have since informed the seller to amend his sales text to include the RX400h which he has. So if someone wants to test it by running into the back of me
  18. Proud of you, keep it up. (As the actress said to the Bishop)
  19. I saw those when I was looking, but was put off by him trying the old postage rip-off trick, no need to send recorded. :tsktsk: whats the postge rip off trick? sorry if i sound silly... In order to lower the 'asking' price for the goods, some sellers inflate the postage needed, which isn't refundable should the item be returned as it is not part of the 'price' so they still make money out of it anyway.

  21. Similar sort of thing. I had the opportunity to catch a 'lad' who was just about to break into my tool shed, as I had heard noises in the neighbors garden I stood in the dark and waited, sure enought he came across (there was a second but he remained in the neighbors) and tried to open the shed. Anyway I pounced on him, I wasn't waiting to see if he was armed or even bigger than me (which he was by about a foot) grabbed him from behind and banged his thick scull against a brick wall, whilst he was dazed I gragged him inside the house and called the police, and got my Old English Sheepdog to sit next to him (anyone who knows those dogs will know how soft they are) which put the sh!¬$ up him. Police arrive (x2) and asked the kid what happened to his head which was rather swollen from the wall, he told them that I had hit him and I agreed to that, one of the officers disagreed with him and said 'No you didn't you fell, didn't you' this was repeated for some time me aledgedly hitting him and me admitting to it, eventually he agreed with the ofiicer that he 'fell' when he was then told off for being a liar in the first place and trying to get me into trouble. As all three left the house were the police where to take him to his parents, I was told there was nothing they could do as he was only trespassing and that was a civil matter, anyway after the lesson I taught him he won't do it again. Now if he hadn't tried to run away he wouldn't have fell against the wall.
  22. Yea, then we could all 'talk' to the little cherubs. In their language of course :winky:
  23. I still say 'He tripped while I was chasing him Your Honour' and 'Yes of course his friends are going to back him up what else would you expect, but that doesn't mean that they are all angels?' Anyway the night it happened you were with the LOC and I remember buying you a pint
