  2. thanks D6NGR, I used one of those as well, didn't get much out of it. many thanks anyway. Felix
  3. Hi Guys, Missus wants a Mini Cooper as her weekend car, "it's much easier to park than the RX, isn't it?" she said. OK, I am going to get one this weekend in London, I know I can get the MOT history on the DVLA website, Done that. I am sure there is some kind of website give you the police records and insurance records of the car as well (such as it was written off or stolen) , I used it before, can't find it any more. it was something like Motor Insurers' Bureau or Insurance claims database. BTW, it 's free to check. any one could help PLS just the link will do. many thanks Felix
  4. that 38 MPG is unbelievable. how come I never seen anything more than 25-28 on mine? were you driving 50 on the motorway flat? suggest you work an average out over a month. total mileage / (total amount in litre/4.544)
  5. Ian, of cos £25 for a shiney is ok if you consider 400 for a set of second hand 18" is cheap. I take you don't work for any of them LOL Felix
  6. Very nice mate, for the new faces here:a new one with your colour will cost you 47 inc VAT from the dealer. put it on is 5 mins job, even I can do it. he he he Felix
  7. Sorry guys, I got the Slick 50 in in early June, no much difference in my MPG, I didn't want to disappoint some of people here, so kept quiet. average from 24MPG to 25 MPG that's all. Felix Lexynik: how are you getting on with your Disc? love to get one for myself tho.
  8. I agree with most of people here, the "average" for average public Joe is 25MPG. Never seen mine over 30 ever! even a long motorway run, I can't do 60, it's not what these cars for. IS 200/300 is not designed for the MPG, it's for get you from A to B as reliable and comfortable as....... so enjoy it people. Felix
  9. Hi Lloyd mate, this is for the information only for all the members here: the Merc M classes is the worst car MB ever made, I run a National German car parts company, looking at the parts we sell on to the market, and feedbacks from the garages we supply, Don't get anywhere close to a M class Felix
  10. it's not quite right PeeJay, considering you in Philippines and have your A/C on all the time and in city traffic, you should get about 20MPG that is 13.623 L / 100 KM. you should get your car looked at, if you don't drive like a maniac. Felix
  11. ALL RIGHT Tony, I have some spare time to reply to you today. IS200 Auto returns me 25MPG an IS 300 Auto will give you about 27MPG, so there is no much difference. however, the IS300 is much more fun to drive around. I don't think the low rev on IS200 Auto is that bad, just more fun in the IS300. search the posts here you will find tons of info what to look out for...... Good luck for your search, take your time Felix
  12. same here mate, had my 1st IS 1999, 7 MOT all flying pass, and my missue RX a few years now same. there was once they told me their emission machine is broken need to come back in a few days, then I did a week later, got told again the "new machine" is not working. I suddenly remembered my IS is LPGed, so told them, they all LOL and realise that is why the CO dose not show much on their machine. LOL Felix
  13. glad it's all sorted, I got my battery at B;ham dealer a while ago for £55 ( something like that)
  14. SE-L mate LPG is a good thing if you want to keep the car for a few years. no known issue with LPG. people say the air suspenders may sometimes cos £££, but I haven't had any. the comfort it gives you in return is worth every penny. I am happy to drive my missue RX all the way to Dover and realise I forgot my phone and get home (Midlands) to pick it up and get back again. Good Luck Mate Felix
  15. guys, I had a RX300, had the same thing. I thought it was Valve stem seals, paid a lot for the engine top done. however, it turn out to be a PVC valve which only cost £1.20 change that 1st, then look at other things. Felix
  16. hello, welcome to LOC. there are quite different versions it depends on the age/model of your car. do an other search here, and get all versions printed out and try them one by one. I used IS300 remote part and 04 is200 immobiliser part to get mine programmed. Felix
  17. I actually knew this happening quite often in US, that's part of the reason I got my missus a RX 350 feel for you mate. Felix P.S. try to contact Lexus GB see what do the say. I am sure there are some people here have some direct contacts.
  18. Slightly off topic but I'm always surprised when I read stuff like this, because I've sent my car in for stuff to be inspected quite a few times (including once just a few weeks ago) and they've never charged me for looking at it - is my dealer one of the few then that doesn't charge for this sort of thing? I don't know how you do it, every time I need to get them to inspect any issue, they (B'ham Lex/Toyota) always give me an estimated time it takes and charges. You are very lucky to have a good Local franchisee dealer. Felix
  19. I had/have same thing for 2 months now (you can find my old post on this), I booked in at TOYOTA B'ham month ago, and they didn't find anything wrong. Paid for an hour as well. so I am not going to do anything till the discs or pads need replacing. Felix
  20. got mine updated today, and got the same issue on my Missus car, my IS is OK Felix
  21. Glad to hear that. Make sure they do a good job!
  22. i think it's an import or accident repaired.
