  1. Well anyone who would want a custom model made will have all my attention until i can find a new job, i got made redundant on friday. Our company was under cut on £70,000,000 worth of contracts and i was the first wave of people to get the boot (been there under 2 years, so they dont have to pay me as much). so anyway. if not could someone just close this thread please
  2. Absolutely brilliant, made my miserable day a whole lot better, cheers dude :winky:
  3. it seems also that lately they have tried to discourage the one way "race track" by making sections 2 way. although the only thing they have mangaed to do is create the worst traffic problems dartford has ever suffered, i have traveled into dartford for over 15 years and since they put in the new "improved system" it has been nothing but gridlock. so they realy buggered up that one now didnt they
  4. wow i feel realy lucky to have got my hi power exhaust when i did now they are discontinuning them, :D , its such a shame tho
  5. there are a few street racers that pop down to blue water but mainly at night time, which is why i suggested that we meet in relitive day time. i think as long as we are all parked inside in a corner then we will be left alone, plus its a lexus meet not a nova one, lol, so i hope they dont put us in the same catagory. on the note of dartford police i had a little incident last night, on coming into the one way system near zens i had a megane up my *****, so i turned off the traction controll and perrormed a near perfect sideways drift up the road, unfortunately there was a street beating police man walking up the road, not sure if he got my plate but i high tailed it outa there, and sat in a car park for quite a while, oopsy daisy. Kent police are crap, but the met are great, they know how to police unlike the cash happy counties mountie.
  6. ok so if we dropped the meeting time to 5 pm would that be better for people? In bluewater there are a few covered car parks, but the one i was thinking would be good for meeting is the marks and spencer side, second floor. i will search for a map, but it is close to food etc, warm and away from the places where people normaly park
  7. good point, between the blackwall tunnel and the bluewater turn off on the A2 there are about 12 speed cameras. not good, when i used to work at canary wharf i had a SV650s, and for some reason i always forgot to put my number plate on when i traveled up there, strange or what? . Police at blue water have 306 diesels and those little smart cars so if you get into any little incidents then ahem, you may be able to , ahem get away. lol. not that i would advise that kind of behavior. Yes it does suck that people cant seem to recognise that you have bought a lexus because your sucessful, my general reply to "oh its your dads car isnt it" is as follows "well that would be very difficult as he died 3 years ago!" that tends to shut them the hell up, but it still hurts. Worst one tho is when people say why didnt you buy a BMW (ewwwwwwwwwww bahhhh bahhhh sheep, ahem), and snigger about how a lexus is for a old person. i think its just jelousy or sumfin. oh well i love my car sooooo much thats why were all here i suppose. :winky:
  8. yeah i take a base model, then create the rest with either donor parts or scratch building with putty and poly card. Some of my cars barely have an origional piece on them. Which gives me more of a sense of achievement. i use photo etched wings and photo etch disc brakes. and the wheels come straight from japan. In the end the market i cater for is normaly very select and are bought by people with cars they cant buy models for. i.e modified skylines are the best to do
  9. well there ya go, no need to order from me then. very good models.
  10. I was in carnary whard that day, and i will never forget it, watchin in utter disbelief at the second plane hitting into the tower, then undergoing the ensuing evacuation, i still to this day look up when i hear one of the planes flying past the canary wharf. Its certainly one of those days that truely changed the world. my thoughts go to all the familys of those deeply affected
  11. I think that road is called university way, lol. there is always an empty bit there on a sunday, we can just have a lexus only section, we could have it a bit earlier if people wanted, and all lexus owners are welcome, even the new RX series lol. Will be great seeing you all, i wil bring my digital camera as well i think :zee:
  12. well you are damn lick to get that model as auto art wont officialy bring that model into the country, the odd one may pop over, but i have been trying for a long time to get one. any ways i am offering a custom matching service,
  13. if you could point me in the direction of a few pics of your car i will see what the rough costs would be, would you be wanting an engine conversion? as it should be possible to cut the hood open and fit the engine out of a tt supra from tamiya in there. would take a lot of work but be totaly individual.
  14. i tend to spend over 4 hrs just preparing a body for painting, involving smoothing any mold flashing, repairing any dents, re creating anything that is missed in the detail. be assured that 10hrs is enough time considering this little puppy will sit in the palm of your hand, i have spent upwards of 40 hrs on some models to make them perfect
  15. the is200 hasnt got any paint, that is just the bare shell on the bare chasis, i will post pics as soon as its done. the creases are actualy the differing pigment placement within the polysyrene. when they injection mold the pigment particles distribute in whatever direction they want. but the surface remains glass smooth. the pic was purely a quick one that i took a while back
  16. well if you need any help with your model just ask. Doesnt seem like many people want a model built then, oh well. Just have to go back building for the skyline crowd, and the bikers (R1's ZX12R's etc). Just thouht i would offer it at a discounted rate as a favour. As my cheapest build i will do is £250. But if you guys can find any prebuilt models then i suggest you buy one.
  17. actualy i got my car from lexus nottingham as i liked them better and they brought my car to me, i was a very fussy customer and wanted my car within 3 days of walking in to the showroom, didnt have a black is200 with beige leather in manual so i got them to phone around and find out who had one, then used their phones to cut the deal. this was a wednesday and on the sat i had my shiny new toy and they had my rover 600 turbo that was gonna blow, oops. :shutit: oh well. well i look forward to seeing as many members as possible there on the 5th :zee:
  18. well we could leave the exact time till closer to the day if you want to allow for unexpected things to come up. damn this means my car is gonna have to be spotless now. better get started, lol. we could have a drink, will park 100m away from the sports bar which is good, plus they do food, yay.
  19. i love automotive forums model section, it is so helpful and inspiring, been a member for about 9 months now. Do you contribute on the art section at all?
  20. so are we all agreed that its should be sunday october the 5th at 6pm, i will post a map of where to meet soon
  21. i forgot to add that everyone is welcome, i love the gs series and plan to own one after the is200, i wanna do the VIP style of 20" hoops and subtle clean styling and a hidden but huge turbo, lol. :zee: pimp styleeee
  22. well the 1st of october is a wednesday and the 5th is a sunday, so would people rather it was a weekend or a week day, cant wait to see some of the supercharged is200's. will get one as soon as i have 1 more years no claims bonus. as they wont cover me till i have.lol.
