i very recently used a combination of acas and the citizens advise bureau to take my company to tribunal for unfair dismissal. you start with citiznes advise who tell you everything you will need to know to base your complaint against the company. then when you decide to take them to a tribunal ACAS get involved to try and resolve it before the court case. also keep a track of all letters you were sent. I had an out of court settlement for ££££££ (just a few zero's!!) as they lied on a legal document and i threatened to see them seperately for slander! They settled in a few hrs after that statement. you have to hold your ground with any compnay and dont show weakness!

well they dont check them on the intermitent services, but now i have seen how easy it is i will be checking it constantly! might buy a spare and change it every few months as they are only cheap. Apaerently there are loads of cars coming in with clogged up filters said the mechanic, he said that coz we had such a long dry summer lots of dust built up, then when it got wet and damp that dust turned to sludge. and made it bad. so flip the clips on the lex badge and check yourself today!

well my mpg dropped to 16mpg over the past few weeks, had it in for a service and the filter was well clogged. but my average mpg for town driving is about 18-22mpg. so your doing pretty good. will be interesting to see if mine gets any better as i re-set my ecu after the filter change and it is like a new car, so much faster

best kit you can get is made by foliatec, you can get it from halfords. its a tried and tested product that is the best i have ever seen. Kit comes with two tins, one paint and the other is the catalist to make it harden and more durable to the heat and elements. The third part of the kit is brake cleaner spray. you take a wire brush to the calipers to remove any rust that will flake off, wear a mask! then spray the cleaner over the calipers. no dust left after that! mix the paints, find a glass jar and only use half of each tin as i have never used more than 1/4 of a full tin! get a 1/4 inch brush (not included) and begin to paint, keep the first coat thin and try and apply 3 coats if you can. apply wheel back to car. move to next wheel. leave for 24hrs to dry and cure then take wheels off again. aplly decal/sticker then paint over with a clear laquer for auto use (not wood varnish!) put wheels on and drive away. also a tip is to use black for the main colour as you cant see the brake dust on the caliper!

well i had a great day today, dropped the car off at 8.30am today, to then get straight into a top spec RX300sei. mmmmmm so so so good to drive, i so badly want one. anyone wanna give me £38k? hehehe. i drove that about for 2 hours and realy enjoyed it. got back to a cup of coffee and the new and very good service manager informs me that there will be no charge at all for the belt. and that the battery is faulty. didnt wanna pay £60 for the same battery so i went to halfords and got myself an uprated "calcium" battery with a 4 year guarentee and its got 25% more cold cranking power all for £59.99. sweet! so i have had a great day today :D :D and i love the bromley dealership. ps, had to think of quick answer to fit receptionist when she asked why i had a bannana in my pocket! not sure if she believed me !!! :winky: :winky:

Well i am certainly glad i had my service done, apart from the normal crap like oil etc they found that my air filter was toaly totaly clogged up! that would explain the recent poor performance and 16mpg! Also it turns out that the coolant bypass tube was almost gone! so they replaced it under warenty saving me a bill of £183 later on. also it looks like my alternator is a bit buggered so thats gonna go under a warenty replacement! The price for the power steering belt was quoted for the wrong part, so its now only £15 with free fitting. Gotta go back tomorrow to get a it fitted tho, but they are gonna let me take out the RX300 demo car which has full spec! sweet. Unfortunately tho i was there for 5 hours today, lol but the receptionists kept me filled with food and coffee plus they were extremely fit! what a great way to spend a few hrs! Also under warenty i am getting a full alignment due to excessive wear to my front tyres, gonna save that till i get my springs from matt fitted, will save me about £60 i think. so i cant wait to get the springs now!

It turns out the dealer ordered the wrong part! the £45 was for a complete oil pump set, the real power steering belt is only about £15 plust there will be no fitting charge! they were able to tighten the belt but it didnt do much, still its booked in for 8am to be done and also have the alternator changed under warenty

i say black with silver stickers. Thats what i got, also its the colour combo of the AMG SL500 calipers!

If your girlfriend is giving you any hastle then i will buy it off ya! im desperate to have a HKS back on my car!

ok so how much oil should i go buy? And what one for a hard driven engine? will they just knock off te 50 odd quid from the total? i think im gonna tell them where to put their belt from the sounds of things too. Bloody lexus bromley! So i take it that a 50k service is just a oil and filter change?

well the price of the belt is £45 and lexus bromley are gonna fit it for £20 so thats not too bad. plus they are gonna do my 50k service. All for £200

So what should i check for at my 50k service bill? i am also having my power steering belt replaced, i was quoted about £45 for the belt and £20 fitting so finaly no squeel. i was also quoted £140 inc vat for the service.
