  1. It was lexus liverpool mate. ordered it at 11 was there by 3 as i mentioned inc vat was £2.40 odd
  2. hello and thanks for the replies after much consideration i decided to give it a go myself. I thought anything i take off i can put back on so i cant do much wrong. I also (just out of interest) phoned a few garages for a price. The tyre place I use quoted me £15. few local gargaes said no more then £20, National tyres made the oooo errr noises and then said 2 hours labour £90. REDICULOUS. Only problem with the cheaper prices is they could not do it till friday. Anyway at 3.30 yesterday afternoon the car got jacked up and by half 5 i was done. Although most of this time was spent searching for tools and how to's on here, cups of tea and talking to neighbours. so all in all a good day and for anyone wanting to know the stud cost me £2.46 Thanks to all who replied Joe
  3. Yerr i just did a quick search on here an it seems that i have to take the disc off and then tap out and then fit the new one but i dont feel overly confident doin this now so think i mat try and see how much it is going to cost me for a garage to do it
  4. As title really need to know how to replace a stud because i have jus snapped one. quick response if possible as i need the car tomorrow to pick my parents up from the airport regards Joe
  5. Nice car mate. ive got the same lip spoiler on my SE too. and the tints. should get the Sport grill from your dealr its £45 painted and is a great simple mod. I also need the bonnet clip :(
  6. If you are looking to keep the looks "standard" then get the 18inch lexus alloys. Also tints really set the lexus off and the sports grille Joe
  7. ohhh sorry mate haha what did you actually do to get them?
  8. try quinn direct I am 21, 1years ncb, 3 points and a claim and live in Liverpool a dreaded L post code :o I paid £1100 in September fully comp with the benefit of being able to drive any car too. my car is an is200 se 2002. Also put your parents on the insurance as named drivers. If they have a good record (eg no points etc) as it brings the premium down because the more risky driver (you) has less chance to drive it. However I got a qoute with them last week as i was thinkink of replacing the IS with a 1.9tid saab and the quote was shall wee say rediculous £2500! I am sticking with the IS now anyway after quite a few people saying i was mad to get rid. Good luck
  9. u shud find that the screwdiver in your boot the flat head part fits in to the perfectly
  10. haha dont think there will be that much of a war i was only really interested in them if they were going to be cheap haha i really want the multispoke anthracite ones but these came up.
  11. Would like peoples opinions on these for my is200 they are only a 15min drive so i am considering them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-IS220-IS...=item439d0b7272 thanks Joe
  12. well imo i think it was a good deal. Why pay £50 to have nice headlights and then go and put foglights on that dont match. may as well just do both or save the £50 and do neither. They should be here 2moro and i will fit them as soon as i get them so will take a picture and let you everyone see
  13. in all honesty i think fog lights are generally a waste of time anyway on the front they just look good. but thats pretty much why i bought them as they will match then. ive seen quite a few mercs with bluey white foggies??
  14. well before anyone says anything i dont drive around with my fogs on when its not foggy......but it is just the look if I am honest. and i have used my fog lights 4 or 5 times in the 5 months i have owned it. Anyway here is the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xenon-HID-Conversion...=item3efadfba80
  15. Just bought hids off ebay. bought a kit for the headlights and a kit for the fogs both 8000k B) Cost me in total £105 delivered. Should be here tomorrow or Wednesday If anyone would like the link i shall post it up
  16. nice car.....love the headlights, if your looking to swap themfor some standard ones let me know haha
  17. alloys are not covered i rang and asked them when i got mine and its only up to 3 years
  18. Try quinn direct ... thats who me and three of my friends are with. i pay 1100 full comp i am 21 with 3 points and 1 claim and 1 ncb been drivin for 4 years
  19. as title suggests just want the reverse bulb number thanks :) Joe
  20. to fit the rear reg plate ones u have to take the carpet lining off the boot lid then there is four nuts holding it in. once you have taken the nuts off the housing is held in via two plastic plug type fittings a slight pull should get it off.
  21. is the headlight washer button ment to light up because mine doesnt......sorry to hijack but it is related haha
  22. I am interested too guys wud like this mod and i am fed up up of people slamming the boot shut because its so easy to shut
  23. i like the range sport but i prefer the big range, as for them breaking down i would have toi endure it haha. or maybeget a lexus jeep
  24. i love the lexus ive only had it since september but i am already looking to my next car. not that there is anything wrong with the IS but thats just the way i am. anyway always said when i finish uni i was going to get a 300C. IMO bmws, mercs, and audis dont compare to the IS with all the toys it has. i bmw se would probably only come with front and back electrics aha. anyway its either a 300c or a range rover for me
  25. where are you from in merseyside sean i avint seen any snow at all :(
