  1. Just want to share, after having it for a mere 5 months, it is now time to let go of my sexy lexy baby! I am now going to be a father, now i need to sell my car to cover the life of having a baby..
  2. you need to buy an after market alarm system or have a rewire done.
  3. it might be the breather in the fuel tank. try to have it checked.
  4. haha don't worry D6, I'm like a big kid also! I'll buy an autoart model car of the Lexus is200 to match my lexy! :D
  5. Hey lloyd! yeah love the carbon fiber. check the disc again, it's huge! lol.. maybe around 16".
  6. I hope that does solve the issue for you buddy but I have had that done in the past and yes the noise went away but it always came back. Thanks mate. I really hope it does! :)
  7. I saw several sports cars and other expensive cars here in Manila using this paint protection film. it looks nice and will preserve your paint. They're quite expensive though! I am starting to save money to get one. I'm thinking of a flat white color. check the website here in Manila, http://www.foilacarmanila.com/services.html.
  8. My Problem is now solved! I brought my car to a trusted shop here in Manila. Had my brakes cleaned and greased the slide pin. It is quiet again.. I just hope this last long! :D thanks to this very informative site..:-)
  9. Hi Mates! I just want to share what I saw in the sports compact car magazine from. The magazine was from 1999! how cool is that! lol I sooooo like this!!
  10. Hi Mates! Hi Greedy80! Hope it's ok to join this topic... early this morning while on my way to the office, i experienced the same noise on my brakes. I think Lexus should make a recall on this! lol.. anyways, this is so informative. i will check what tigerfish have posted. and wait for Greedy80's update.. thanks mates! BTW, here's my experience, i can hear the noise when driving on a lowspeed then brake slowly. I can hear it also, even when i'm already still (0km/hr) and just pressed on the brakes harder. hmmmm could it be the same problem?
  11. Hey Mates! since I'm from Manila, I am curious how do cars from Middle East are being brought to UK? I always find in youtube and exoticspotter.com, exotic cars roaming in London with Arab plates. Do they take Air travel? or Land-sea-land travel? or train? Do they pay a certain tax? and how long are their cars allowed to travel in UK? thanks all! :)
  12. recently i had a problem with my consumption... but when i started filling it with a velocity, i always get at least 23-24mpg on an average with extreme traffic here in Manila. Last saturday i went out for a long drive, i got 27mpg with a speed of 100km/h and a few 140-180km/h.. :D so i guess not bad? previously i only get a max of 20mpg or less so shell velocity helped a lot in improving my consumption!
  13. altezzas are JDM IS200 can be EUDM IS300 usdm but i guess after all, they are still JDM? lol... almost all parts are from Japan..
  14. Recently, I had a problem with my Lexus stock car stereo. CD and FM doesn't work at all! And so I ordered a Pioneer radio from the USA. After making the order and have it shipped here in Manila, my friend from Dubai told me that he is sending me a Headunit with a dvd player!!! now i don't know which one to put in my Lexus and my Rav4... hmmmmmm the Kenwood is an old model but can play DVDs. the Pioneer has a built in bluetooth and Ipod ready..
  15. Nice IS mate! i wish i have the same body kit!
  16. thanks mates! @lloyd, not so popular.. very rare.. so the thinking is, if you have a lexus here then you are rich! but not in my case! lol i'm just so lucky that i have a neighbor who sold this car for a cheap price. And not everybody knows that parts are same with a Toyota! :) Lexus showroom opened here in Manila last February only (i guess) that is why the new models are the ones becoming a bit popular. but it is still expensive!! :duh:
  17. Nice! though the dashboard looks like a bimmer..
  18. Hey mate! if you have Motul available in UK then that is a good one. you may also try STP.
  19. I'm a manager in an SAP company here in Manila..
  20. wow! nice clean car including the engine bay! i'll have mine detailed after the rainy season... very nice mate!
  21. thanks matt!yeah it is a nice exhaust. it is a Tanabe RS ordered from Japan. For me it sounds like a 360modena when it is on idle... but of course, it sounds different when the car starts to run.. :D but it's silent though! :)
  22. whooow that's not good! here in the philippines we had a typhoon last year which caused terrible flooding! if you have no choice and think that your car will be submerged in the flood, remove the battery right away. if you have time to save your car save it! remove the gauge, computer box your radio, battery and all the electronics that you can take off from the car. after the flood, have it detailed and checked right away before you start the car. change oil, oil filter, check plugs, and everything that needs to be checked.
