Based from whom I bought my IS, he said that he likes the IS200 more than his IS250awd. because of the sportier look and engine sound. except that, the 250 is faster and newer. -
if it hasn't been replaced yet, then it should be an original genuine leather.

Hi Guys! I'm PJ or Paul or Jourdan.. whichever you prefer.. 27, just got married last April. I'm working in an SAP company. Got my IS for almost a month now which has an 18" BBS installed and a Tanabe muffler. I think that would be ok for now. Next plans are to change the stereo (already ordered) then will not change anything until its 3rd year.. :) I'm planning to switch to a twin turbo or a stock supra engine... :D

now I can share my IS after I detailed it last Saturday.. I got this last June with only 62000km (38500miles) in it. it is 99mdl. I really really wanted to buy this because of its plate number! it matches my nickname/alias, which is PJ. :D you need to pay a certain amount here in Philippines to have a special plate like this. I can say I'm lucky! lol The car has stock everything except the 18"s BBS mags and tanabe rs muffler. :) hope you like it!

I always turn it off. it's more fun to drive everytime I'm on my way home going uphill, zigzags, asphalt.... ohh can't wait to get out of this office!! :) -
I am having same problem. only my AM works. sometimes the FM works but most of the time it does not. i only hear statics. i already ordered new stereo. repairing the oem one is not worth it anymore since most of the stereos that we need in the present are ipod ready stereos.

im also ****** with my oem radio! ill be replacing it with a pioneer. my cd doesn't work as well as my fm! so sad i have to do it old syle, tape/casette! lol

tested my car. city driving with a bit of traffic is 7.5km/l that's around 17mpg i guess. went out of town this morning, sums up to 11.2km/l which is about 26mpg(a bit traffic and maniac driving around 160km/h.. :) ) traveled about 100km only. i'm happy that it improved at least a bit. but should i get more?

i tried resetting the ECU by removing the fuses (EFI,ECTS). hoping there is an effect... will try to go out of town over the weekend to observe.... waaahhhhh

hi w77, so your consumption is like 8.5 km/l right? i wish i have the same consumption!! actually that was my expectation before i got this car! because that's what my friend told me too. i bought my IS from a neighbor who have 2 IS. one is an is200 and the other one is the latest IS250awd. he also have an IS300 in the U.S.!(not so much of a fan! haha) yeah it's very rare here in Manila. it's very seldom that you'll be on the same road with the same IS! :) anyways, i was looking through the net and i think i should also have the sensors checked and cleaned! been here in philippines? :)

hey felix! hmmmm i thought so... ok i think you should drop by at lexus and have it checked! any ideas on why it's guzzling like a v8? i just had my pms last week. here's what they did: changed oil (engine; transmission; differential) i also had my brake fluids changed and power steering changed air filter changed spark plugs etc. what could it be? i'm feeling so frustrated comparing that your cars are at least fuel efficient.

how do you describe your traffic there? :) here in Manila, when we say traffic it's really a stop and go. stop for 5-10minutes then go for 5minutes. something like that. or simply, from my home to office, w/o traffic will take me 30-45minutes. if there's a traffic, then it's around 1 hr 30 min to at least 2hours... with regard to the conversion, i'm not sure with the imperial but i just got it here: http://www.vangeyn.net/mpg/?mpg=36.2&submit=Convert it's quite confusing coz we only use KM and Liters here in Philippines... thanks!

Hi Guys, ever computed your usual/normal gas mileage on your stock 1gfe? i got at least 6 km/l or 14mpg on an average city driving (w/ lots of traffic). is that normal? or too much of a guzzler? thanks!

Hi it's me again! I need help in finding engine parts code for is200. i am buying several parts for my car and again, since i am in the philippines i am having a hard time! The only place i can go to is Toyota. I need to find out the codes for 1g-fe. I need to find which parts are interchangeable with a Toyota or simply which Toyota car does an is200 have same parts aside from Toyota crown. Thanks!
