  1.    I'm saying nothing right now!!! :D :D :D :D Patience, patience, my fellow lexus lovers!!! You'll know before a lot of others will! :winky: Stu
  2. Thanks for all your messages of support guys, really appreciate it! As for what it is, well, it's along the lines of a part of the previous idea, but not wholly! It's not lexus orientated unfortunatley, but it may benefit any of you guys that need the service and are in Norfolk! I will release the info inside the next 3 weeks, just as soon as we have premises and are ready to roll! Stu
  3. I hope so!!! It's quite a risk to take, especially when you think that i have no direct experience in what i am intending to do!!!! Stu
  4. There will be no gap except for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend (and we're having Elliott christened then, so big drinking session me feels!! I may well end up doing some work for it over that weekend though, thats the joys of owning and running a company i guess!! My investor has told me that to get it up and running succesfully i will need to work 7 days a week, and something like 12-15 hours a day on it. Still, it's a challenge i suppose!!! :D :P When i can tell you all what it is i will do, and lets just say that it may be more beneficial to the members that live in the Norwich/Norfolk area! (Of course i will be offering a discount to goldies :winky:) Stu
  5. It's very weird, i have worked for this company for over 5 years now, so it isn't just a job to me, it's a lifestyle, and until the birth of my son in December, it pretty much was my life. (Funny how kids can change your perspective on life isn't it!) I am actually quite emotionally fragile right now too, which suprises me. Oh well, bigger fish to fry and all the rest of the cliches!! :winky: Stu
  6. Well, after 5 years of working for the same company (at different areas of the country), i have decided that it is time for me to move on to greener pastures. I'm suprisingly quite sad, as the hospital i currently work at i have been at since it was just a building site (some 2 and a half years ago). I can't but help feeling that my leaving is going to let others down, but i have to do this for myself and for my family, and besides, i can't stand my current line manager, so thats a bonus!!!! As for what i'm doing after i leave.................................... Watch this space!! :P :D Commercial sensitivity is quite prominent at the moment, and i don't want to let the market competitors know what i'm planning just yet!!!!! Stu
  7. Congrats Dave & Zee! :D As for the Pram, if you ever do it, let me know, that sounds like great fun!!!! :D :D :D Stu
  8. How i remember those days like they were only yesterday!!!!!! :P Hows she doing Claire? Going through the night yet? Stu
  9. i was in the same sceanrio not two months ago Ian, and had been waiting and waiting for months and months! Eventually, me and mrs stu found a property that would suit us down to the ground, and it is only 4 doors down the road from us. It needs a bit of work doing to it, but that doesn't matter to me, as it's purely cosmetic, no structural needed. I did however have an advantage over most that were looking at buying in the area, as it was my cousin that was selling the house, so i knew about it before most did. We got the house for £105,500, and it's a 3 bed mid terraced with garden and detached garage. My advice to you would be as follows: 1. Wait a bit longer 2. Keep your eyes open for a property that needs a bit of cosmetic work 3. If you know someone that works for/owns an estate agents, talk with them about what you need etc (better if they are a friend or family member, as they won't bull**it you!) 4. Get yourself a decent deposit saved up if you can 5. If you can, get yourself a pre-approved mortgage, so you can complete quickly (this will appeal to sellers) 6. Set a budget that means you can comfortably afford the repayments each month, and don't go over it. Talk to an independant mortgage adviser, they are the best ones to see. Hope that helps out a bit bud! If you fancy a move into Norfolk, let me know, my cousin has got lots of property up for grabs at the mo! :winky: :D :P Stu
  10. i know of a pub that puts people up! Can't remember it's name right now tho, i will remember!!! (too many nights spent wasted under the tables i think !) Stu
  11. After a weekend of playing (and really p**sing the missus off!) i have managed to get up to about 5% complete (i haven't been playing all the time, had to go out and do some other stuff). It's handy to have the B-Spec mode, particularly when you have to 'empty the bins, hoover the lounge, do the washing up, put the washing in, take the family to the zoo' and so on :P Shame about the IS430, was looking forward to that! At the mo i'm still running the mister 2, an esprit turbo, a dodgy looking mazda 6 that i can't enter into anything, an RX-7 race car, and now a skyline from the 60's! Anyone got nay tips? Stu
  12. i used to work in a place called market weighton, between york and hull, is that the side of york you are after? if so, i know of a few places you could try. Lemme know! Stu
  13. both are nice, but i have to say i'd go for a pair of hipers! Stu
  14. Only bought mine last night (let the price fall a bit to keep the missus happy (ish!)). Started off with a used MR2 G-Limited, won the beginner series in the first person, and found out about the computer driving this morning. Done some stuff to the mister two, but not a lot, as i have my eye on the skylines!!! One question tho................. How do you get the IS430??????? (i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want, i want!!!!!!) Stu
  15. as is the 3 series for BMW! Would like to see it, but agree with brettster, it's unlikely. Stu
  16. so they do make them then? Stu
  17. Ok bud, just wild speculation on my part really, curiosity killed the cat and all that! :D Anyone care to offer an opinion on this? Stu
  18. only a 5 speed? would have thought that it would have had a 6 speed box the same as the 200 does. would there be any fitment issues if one of those manual boxes were to be fitted to a UK car then? Stu
  19. Just wandered really, as i was talking to my Dad this weekend, and one of his corporate associates was looking at the IS300 a while back, but was put off by the fact that it was an auto, and there was no option for a manual box. And as a result, the custom was lost to BM*. It started me thinking about it tho, is it actually possible to get an IS300 with a manual box on it, or could one be added? One for the tech peeps me thinks! Stu
  20. Spotted in the car park, i did try to get over to say hi, but i was in a bit of a rush!! It was about 1230pm today (Saturday 26th March) Stu
  21. check in the garage for full spec and better piccies if you wanna look! Stu
  22. Mine's a 99 too! And there's been some more additions to and more work done to since this photo was taken! New induction kit, IS300 air scoop, covers removed and in the process of being re-painted, some polishing done (might revert back to previous colours on that tho!) But here you go, for inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Stu
